BRAND WATCH | I Dig Denim AW15/16

As the colder winds have set upon us here in the Southern hemisphere there is nothing better than to have a little sneak peek on some warmer wear for the kiddos. Swedish I Dig Denim is whipping up some nice warm threads and gives us a little look at what their stylish Autumn Winter 15/16 is going to look like.

"The collection is an ode to the way-cool generation. The denim lifestyle is the central theme and it’s not about wearing jeans. It’s about how you wear your jeans. The outerwear we present for this season is a wax coated bomber jacket in moss green and a parka. The colour palette echoes the Swedish west coast landscape – shades of blue and grey, khaki and mint"

New to the season is also that they are launching a baby collection! Yes you can imagine the amazing cute overload as their cool wear hits the smaller sizes! The baby collection consists of trendy jeans, a sweatshirt pant and a t-shirt in soft and comfortable qualities. The baby collection comes in size 56-92 and will be available at their retailers and in their eShop in August.

SNEAK PEEK | I Dig Denim SS15

I love bringing you these little sneak peeks of the new collections for SS15, and here is a great little video showing our favourite denim label, Swedish I Dig Denim. Timeless, hard wearing fashion that will last on your life loving minis. For this season we can see the return of a few modern classics, among them the soho shorts and the great bomber jacket (see photos above) in a new colour version -light grey and in lighter Spring materials.

Sneak Peek | Finger in the Nose SS15

One of our long time favourite labels, french Finger in the Nose has just released some sneak peek images of their upcoming 15 collection and there is a lot to look forward to! I love the artwork for their prints and their staple denim wear looks just perfect. The slate/warm grey is a weakness for us, its the best basic go to colour and suits both girls and boys. Their great cut windbreaker is also a must and how cool is the space gun tee? Love when a collection hit the mark and you simply can't resist getting a few things... I know I already have a few things in mind! How about you?

Orange Mayonnaise and SpringStof will carry the new collection so keep an eye out on their shops as it will arrive very soon.

Brand Watch | Bobo Choses SS15 'Guess Who's Coming for Breakfast'

I hope everybody had a good start to the new year. We had a lovely get away holiday and a chance to both visit Sydney and some amazing beaches in New South Wales with family. With a new year comes a lot of new things, and one thing we have looked forward to in particular is Bobo Choses new SS15 collection, 'Guess Who's Coming for Breakfast'.

Get ready to have breakfast with the most clumsy, shy and friendly monsters: Mr Nail, Bob the Monster, Clever the Ghost, and The Omelets will become your best guests! Being big fan of monsters in general it will be a collection that will go down a treat for us... With some lovely primary colours on the palette and so many fun prints to choose between as well, we will have a hard time to limit ourselves this season.

Look for the new collection in stores on January 13th! If you are living in Australia you will be happy to hear that one of my favourite shops Buckets and Spades have started taking in Bobo Choses as well this season. 

Other Australian shops that will have the new collection is Mr.Wolf and Hipkin. If you are in Europe keep your eyes open as the collection hits these stores, SpringStof, Orange Mayonnaise, Loja Dada, Shan & Toad and Ladida.

Our favourite Scandinavian denim brand I Dig Denim is back with another season of denim treasures!

I Dig Denim's Autumn/Winter collection 2014/2015 is a tribute to the cool factor of denim. Inspiration is drawn from the fabric itself, and how it can be mixed and matched to create contemporary yet timeless looks. In this collection they have opted for a downright relaxed look, pairing denim with sweaters, jackets and beanies. They have kept their popular jeans fits from previous collections, but this season they come in a wider range of colours, as well as tops without prints and knits.

It is no secret that we love this brand and have featured it a lot. It is hands down my kids favourite denim and with their soft take on denim it is not hard to see why.

Brand Watch | Tiny Whales AW14

More radness coming your way in the form of Tiny Whales AW 14 collection! The US label has created some new cool prints for the mini's that they will absolutely adore (and parents alike). The new collection is full of great unisex prints so its easy to pass them along among siblings. We are loving the fun slogan tees (how cute is Donut Worry Be Happy) The tees are made in 100% cotton jersey and printed and designed in the USA.

Husband and wife team of Shaun & Brittany Wagoner started the label back in 2008 and has had a steady stream of cool collection coming ever since.

SNEAK PEEK | Ígló & Indí SS15

Islandic brand Ígló & Indí has just shown their magic SS15 collection over at Playtime Paris this weekend. The collection entitled 'Songs from the Horizon' is a love declaration to the magic land of the north.

"Picture a island far away in the arctic north, where the ocean merges seamlessly with the clear blue sky. On the sandy beaches carefree children run, sing, dance and play with their animal companions. Emulating their movements, they swim like the fish and sing like the birds. Sneak Peek | Mini Rodini AW14 "Quel Carrousel"

It's always fun when Swedish label Mini Rodini drops their first sneak peek at their upcoming collections, and here are the first images of their AW14 collection, entitled - Quel Carrousel.

 It is inspired by the life and people behind the circus. Clothes comfortable enough to wear when traveling with the caravan from town to town in the early light of dusk. Durable enough for any little aspiring acrobat when hanging upside down in roman rings facing challenging situations. Stylish enough for young mice trainers when performing in the ring accompanied by the circus orchestra.
With a large number of sustainable and pieces made from GOTS and Fairtrade certified cotton, this is a collection suited for sparkling activities, a lot of fun and well worthy a place in the spotlight both in front of and behind the curtains.

Brand Watch | Mini & Maximus FW13

Californian label Mini & Maximus is almost out with another exciting FW13 collection. This one entitled "LOS BANDITOS" is packed with mischievous wear for the little bandits in our lives.  There are some more cool graphics and art ready to be worn, and a few good messages like "don't grow up' and 'no bullying' as well. Happy to announce that my girl M has drawn another little addition to the collection, the sneaky M, which is featured on a sweatshirt and a few dresses. It is always fun to see how the drawings comes out on the finished garment, and we are very excited for this one! The colours keys for this collection are olive green, burnt red, deep teal, khaki and a splash of pink.

The Los Banditos collection will be out in a couple of weeks time, and will be available in stores like, Minitbots / Orange Mayonnaise / Scandinavian Minimall / Skip To My Lou / My Little Square / Noeuf and of course in Mima's own webshop.

Brand Watch | Zara Winter '13

The new Zara Lookbook is out. Love the no nonsense / Terry Richardson approach to it. There are plenty of good wardrobe fillers here. Great basics with that little extra twists and a few nice winter jackets are in there as well.

I was doing a little dance of joy when Zara were finally launched Down Under, but I have to say I am quite disappointed with what is offered here. Granted we have opposite seasons here, but the innovative design, especially in the kids section is no where near what is offered in Europe. Still a puzzle to me, but happy that there is an online option. Above is a few of my favourites from this season.

Brand Watch | NicoNico AW13

A look at the new AW13 range from US based label Nico Nico. We have been long time fans of this label for its buttery soft raglan tops and comfy leggings and sweatpants. Less is more with this label and their new range doesn't disappoint!  While a lot of labels seem to mute down the colours for Autumn and Winter Nico Nico turn them up with colour names like citrus, tomato and midnight. They have also added some gorgeous, neutral thick knits in heather grey, oatmeal and black that goes well with most attires.

Sneak Peek | Two Els F/W 13 Collection

I am going gaga over Two Els new F/W13 Collection. Completely handmade by young fashion designer Hollie Kim in NYC, this collection will be her label's second collection.

I am amazed how strong and unique pieces she is delivering for each collection. With clear inspiration sources from native American/Aztec patterns and possessing some beautiful tailoring making skills, there is a lot to crave this fall/winter. I was going to mention our favourites but to be completely honest, there isn't one piece I wouldn't like to own!!

Sneak Peek | I Dig Denim AW13

A sneak peek at Swedish denim label I Dig Denim's upcoming AW13/14 collection. We own several of IDD denim products and we are thrilled with their quality. This upcoming collection entitled 'The Ice Blue Ocean' is yet again filled with durable and super stylish denim wear for the kids/teens.

There are three heavy knits that would keep anybody warm through out the cold days of winter, Palermo, Amarillo and Torino. There is also a faded denim sweater called Bastian that has a great look to it. In the line up for autumn and winter is of course also their signature cool jeans - Dehli (raw), Alabama (in grey and black), Madison (for the girls in blue and black), Arizona, Alabama (blue) Arvada (for the girls), Newark (blue and raw), Soho and new is Rio leggins and Daytona pants as well as the raw looking Bastian sweatpants in light grey.

I love how IDD seem to supply the best looking denim wear to such a big age range, starting from size 86 (12 months) and goes up to 164 (14 years) and mama can be happy to because there is also a women's range. The AW13 collection hits stores in August/September.

Brand Watch | theBRAND SS13

Swedish mr & mrs Brandström aka the creators of theBRAND has created another lovely collection mixed with a big dose of Rock n Roll and Romantic cool! A few of their signature looks like the shoulder wings tops and city name prints is doing a well loved encore this season and the classic white and black is joined with some powerful cobalt blue and pink. Sizes range from 0-14.

New collection will be in stores soon and most of the collection will be available at Oii barnkläder.

Lil Missie Munster AW13

The lil missie munster is in town! The last of our Munster Kids AW13 reveal is for the little independent missie, the "I can do it myself" girl, the strong minded, outgoing and curious little lady. Lil Missie is the last in the growing collection that is Munster Kids, the little sister to Missie Munster but definitely strong enough to stand by herself.

I love that even though it is a winter collection they don't shy away from nice warm and strong colours, that reminds us of the wonderful summer we have had so far! Bright yellows, orange and strong patterns will be a hit with the little ladies out there and how great is the tiger zip up hoodie?! Love the yellow and pink details and it will be such a great thing to snug up in when winter comes around the corner...

Mini Rodini SS13 BON VOYAGE | SNEAK PEEK

Well the title says it all really! Minor De:tales was picked as one of 10 blogs from around the world to unveil a little sneak peek on their upcoming SS13 collection entitled Bon Voyage! Each blog got 3 unique images to show. We of course gladly accepted since being major fans of their clothes since early 2006...

For the Spring/Summer 13 Collection Bon Voyage, Mini Rodini finds inspiration from Love Boat and Captain Cousteau. From the Mediterranean to the Caribbeans, this collection is an odyssey across the world’s greatest oceans.

End of January, the sparkling new collection will be released in Mini Rodini’s stores, retailers world-wide and in the online shop.

Danefæ AW12 collection!

Normally winter and autumn means darker colours in most collections but not when it comes to Danish Danefæ! They continue to serve up bold colour combinations with their classic prints such as the Swan and the rambunctious Viking Erik. Their new AW12 collection is now arriving in stores and their webshop. Make sure to check out their new section in their webstore, or make a bargain in their outlet section! I am happy to report there is also plenty of nice gear for both mum and dad too! Mini & Maximus | ANIMAL COLLECTIVE

It's that time people...when the all the designers are getting ready to release their new collections, and THIS is one we have been looking forward to a little bit extra much. Californian label, MINI & MAXIMUS fall 2012 collection named, Animal Collective. I absolutely love their introduction to this collection so I will let the words of the creators do the explaining of this one!

He scales the wall like a monkey. She screams louder than a squawking parrot. They track mud in like a pack of not four but six legged wolves. You hunt them down to brush their teeth, to tie their shoes, or eat their vegetables. Day after day it's a constant game of catch and release. They run free, trouble ensues and crazy things happen. Who are these elusive, untamed little creatures? The makers of Mini & Maximus clap their hands and say, "we want more"! 

This Fall we stare down these little animal-like creatures, then add extra teeth, a crown or long lashes. We look to artists like Evan Rossell, Brook Reidt and 5 year old, Mika for extra graphics of fictitious figures so that you can adorn your wild imps in our tees, onesies, hoodies and sweatpants. Now they can show us just how creatively mischievous they are, in hopes that they will be recognized as reckless comrades on the school yard, and you can avoid those perfectly pesky my-child-always-color-inside-the-lines type parents.

I have only shown a little of a really nice big line from Mini & Maximus. There are lots of nice color option in most graphics and it feels like I have only touched the surface. And yes, we are extra excited since it is my daughter who have had the great pleasure in drawing some of the characters for this line. You can also look forward to some smaller sizes this time around since they have now released onesies for the tiniest rebels on the block. As always Mini & Maximus delivers something vibrant, fresh, playful and unexpected! Just the way we like it...

The Animal Collective will be out in stores around Mid August.
