A long weekend called for a day by the Sea. We woke up early and jumped in the car which took us the scenic route down the Mornington Peninsula. We zig zagged through small towns and finally rolled into one of our favourite coast hang outs - Flinders.

An art driven coastal town that knows how to relax and enjoy the finder things in life. A day on the rugged coastline here makes you feel alive. The salty sea air, the fresh seafood, the cold beer and a chance to forgo anything called time.

We took our shoes off and poked our toes in the sand. Found rusty old engines between caves and explored the rockpools with the curious seabirds in tow...

The sun has finally made an appearance after a long and very windy winter. The wait for warmer weather has felt unusually long so when a warm day finally came around and we could stick our toes in the crisp white sand at Seaford, it was truly a pleasure!

The new high summer collection from Munsterkids has arrived on both the virtual shelves and in stores. We are totally smitten with this line and it was of course a bit extra fun to see some of my own designs turning out so great - the lovely peeps over at Munsterkids truly knows what they are doing (with over 10 years in the game their collections just keep getting stronger).

I appologize for the slow feed on the blog lately. Work has taken over a big chunk of my weekdays but the creative side never sleeps so I promise I will get back to posting more interesting travel destinations and photos from our adventures here in Australia. Until then... I hope the sun shines on you too!

MOMENT | Summer Bliss

Summer has come to stay here in Australia and we have just gotten back from a 3000km road trip on the beautiful coast of Victoria and New South Wales. We had such a good time enjoying the waves and sun and although it has been the most rain ridden summer so far, we have been lucky to have some wonderful days in the sun&surf. We tried camping under the stars with curious kangaroos keeping us company which was just pure magic (although possums in the night does sound like the worst monster nightmare coming to get you!) Hope you have all enjoyed your holidays out there...summer and winter ones!

The days are finally ticking down to a long summer holiday and it is certainly a welcomed break after a long school year. I can't say we are going to miss making school lunches early in the morning, or finding socks in the last minute! It will be a nice, long break and we are going to enjoy a great adventure along the coast.

We are going to pack the car with a tent, surfboards, fishing rods and all the rest and just enjoy seeing Australia from the road. We can't wait to see the coastline and the charming sea towns along the way.

The last few days have given sun & warm winds which reminds us of what is to come. A taste of summer and a good opportunity for a little cool outfit for the mini's. Over the school holidays we have pretty much lived on wheels and cruising down the beach has been a popular thing even by the small kids. With this outfit they are ready for the sun and fun and even a quick trip in the waves!

Living close to the city is great. A quick trip on the train and you are in the middle of hustle and bustle of Melbourne CBD. We always try to get in a visit on school holidays and this time around we will do more! The city just have so much to offer and it is so fun to take the kids here to just explore and eat in the cozy alleyways. The coffee smell is amazing as it's being brewed all around you in the atmospheric cafes, and the different sights and sounds are just a treat in itself.

We visited the NGV Gallery of Victoria and checked out the amazing exhibition on David Bowie. We also made sure to visit Hosier Lane for some street art and had a quick trip to the QV building for some wonderful lunch and some sweet treats. We will definitely be back here next week!

The kids has two weeks off from school and it feels so nice to finally have Spring with us for this one! I can't believe how fast this school year has gone. It felt like yesterday my boy started prep and now it's not far away from the end of this school year! 

After a very productive weekend at home (we finally got to do that big Spring clean we had planned for so long) we got a chance to spend the afternoon in the sun. It will be so good when we can bring some lunch and just stay down on the beach all day. The water is still a bit too cold to be in so we were satisfied with a nice long walk and an ice-cream break at the end of it.  A pretty nice end to the weekend and a great start of School Holidays!

ART | Munsterkids Collab

If there is a brand that some how personifies the little urban legends out there then it has to be Australian Munsterkids. When we moved Down Under it was one of the brands that quickly caught my attention and I loved their graphic styles. Since then munsterkids have added both missie (the girl line) and mini & lilmissie (for the little ones). We have numerous of munster threads in both my boys and my girls wardrobe and when I got a chance to illustrate for the label last year it was a bit of a dream come true. 

Out in stores now is their SS15 (Southern hemisphere collection) and FW15 ( North hemisphere) Children of the Sea. The top images features a few of the illustrations I got to draw for this line. It was also nice to feature one of my photographs (bmx closeup) which was anything but easy to get (felt like I had to tie a knot on myself to get that nice sharp focus on the back tire :). The below image is a few of the illustrations I did for the previous summer collection. The cool little flatlay pic comes from Free and Wild Child (Which is another wonderful blog you should check out if you are interested in kids fashion.)
