Brand Watch | Miss Ruby Tuesday

Have you heard that Women's label Ruby Tuesday has started a kids collection? Aptly named Miss Ruby Tuesday, it takes minimalism to new heights! Here is what the creators behind the small offspring has to say about their new baby...

"2011 marked the birth of Ruby Tuesday, a collection of iconic pieces that complement the wardrobe of every fashion conscious woman. Three years later, we are happily thriving and expanding the women’s line to include the younger generation.
It started with our travels to Paris and Scandinavia when we brought loads of kids stuff like Stella McCartney circus jackets and beautiful basic items with a twist. Our home is filled with three girls of 0 till 9 years old, so the seed of our 'mini' collection was inevitably planted. The collection is a mix of jerseys, washed sweats and 100% linen T-shirts.

This season, we have developed a print that is a mix of dots and animal prints, that is now already blogged internationally by trend forecasters as the ‘Dalmatian spot’ print. Miss Ruby Tuesday is essentially a kids collection with an adult touch; not too complicated in design and colours, but with nice details and prints.
Ruby Tuesday, the name of a song from the Forty Licks Album of the Stones, is a never-ending story of inspiration and influence. Within four years, we hope to branch out the label throughout Europe, and collaborate with boutique shops that are fueled by passion for their concepts while meeting the interesting individuals behind it."

You can find Miss Ruby Tuesday over at Dutch online shops Orange Mayonnaise and Springstof

Brand Watch | Mini Rodini / See You Later Alligator SS15

This Mini Rodini Spring/Summer ’15 collection See You Later Alligator is inspired by the fishy life under the aquatic surface. The colours are sea weed green, ocean blue, sand, sunset pink and Florida orange.

Here's Mini Rodini's description of their new even more sustainable collection!

This season, mermaids, mermans, whales, dolphins, sea birds and crocodiles will all cheer when they find out that the beautiful luxurious swimwear collection is made from the finest weave, recycled from PET bottles and other plastic waste. The very same waste that are likely to float around polluting our seas and marine mammals often eat and die.

We have made jackets to wear when sailing in stormy salty waters. Sun hats, caps and shades that protects from the scorching sun when canoeing in the Everglades of Florida. But beware of crocodiles – don’t swim in the swamp! See you later Alligator collection also contains stylishly sustainable dresses, shorts, sweaters, t-shirts and shoes that suits at all occasions, but most practical to wear on dry land.
It’s time to put your super fancy Mini Rodini swimwear, or any other sustainable summer style on and feel proud that you actually are a part of making an environmental change!

As usual Mini Rodini creates fun and playful prints which will be popular among children and parents alike. Luckily there are plenty of great retailers that sell this label around the world so if there is a specific print or size you are looking for there are plenty of opportunity to find it!

To find Mini Rodini in Australia please visit following retailers: Buckets and Spades / Hipkin / Mr.Wolf / Alfie Wild and in Europe visit: Orange Mayonnaise / Springstof / Loja Dada / Shan & Toad / Cozy Kids / La-Di-Da.

Sneak Peek | Finger in the Nose SS15

One of our long time favourite labels, french Finger in the Nose has just released some sneak peek images of their upcoming 15 collection and there is a lot to look forward to! I love the artwork for their prints and their staple denim wear looks just perfect. The slate/warm grey is a weakness for us, its the best basic go to colour and suits both girls and boys. Their great cut windbreaker is also a must and how cool is the space gun tee? Love when a collection hit the mark and you simply can't resist getting a few things... I know I already have a few things in mind! How about you?

Orange Mayonnaise and SpringStof will carry the new collection so keep an eye out on their shops as it will arrive very soon.

Brand Watch | Bobo Choses SS15 'Guess Who's Coming for Breakfast'

I hope everybody had a good start to the new year. We had a lovely get away holiday and a chance to both visit Sydney and some amazing beaches in New South Wales with family. With a new year comes a lot of new things, and one thing we have looked forward to in particular is Bobo Choses new SS15 collection, 'Guess Who's Coming for Breakfast'.

Get ready to have breakfast with the most clumsy, shy and friendly monsters: Mr Nail, Bob the Monster, Clever the Ghost, and The Omelets will become your best guests! Being big fan of monsters in general it will be a collection that will go down a treat for us... With some lovely primary colours on the palette and so many fun prints to choose between as well, we will have a hard time to limit ourselves this season.

Look for the new collection in stores on January 13th! If you are living in Australia you will be happy to hear that one of my favourite shops Buckets and Spades have started taking in Bobo Choses as well this season.

Other Australian shops that will have the new collection is Mr.Wolf and Hipkin. If you are in Europe keep your eyes open as the collection hits these stores, SpringStof, Orange Mayonnaise, Loja Dada, Shan & Toad and Ladida.

Moments | Life on Wheels

M wears: Ice cream tee by Finger In The Nose / Bunny skirt by Finger In The Nose / Ballet flats by Cotton on Kids. D wears: Tee by Itch / Pants by Minti / Shoes by Converse.

Wheels, helmets and a day of fun is secured.. Scooters are a great alternative to bikes and makes it still possible for us parents to keep up on foot. It also gives you plenty of chance to stop and admire the view and take in the fresh air while at it. We got two wheel lovers and when D finally could switch from his 3 wheeler to a 2 wheeler its been easy to zip to skate parks and for longer trips as well. Here are a few snaps from a weekend on wheels!

Moments | Wild One

D wears: Tiger Sweatshirt by Popupshop / Alabama grey denims by I Dig Denim / Shoes by Puma / Backpack by Munsterkids.

A trip into the wild, equipped with a camera, a wild outfit and a big dose of curiosity! This little guy seem to have inherited his mum's fascination for the camera because he loves going out with it recording what he can see. We got numerous of photos of his toys from the most hilarious angles and the other day he asked if he could photograph somethings outside to bring to show & tell at Kinder. I thought it was a great idea so off we went.

He photographed dog paw prints in the sand, a crab, a dog with only 1 front leg (but who was still the happiest dog we have ever seen!) the ocean, the city in the horizon and that was only the start. We ended the afternoon with a ice cream & a coffee and a play amongst the trees. Mum here loved photographing the little photographer and in a way it felt like I was on a safari since I got to photograph the cutest little tiger out there! I have total wardrobe envy of this sweatshirt. Super soft and a perfect fit, Popupshop really does know how to make the best sweats, and teamed up with some grey Alabamas, its just THE best wild outfit.

Moments | Holiday Details

D wears: Zip up Jacket by Munsterkids / Jeans by I Dig Denim / Longsleeve by Zara Boys / Backpack by HerschelM wears: Wild Horses Dress by Petitbo / Cardigan by H&M / Leggings by Scotch R'Belle / Backpack by Munsterkids / Sandals by Pom D'Api

We have been lucky with the weather this holiday. It started off with a couple of sunny and warm days, and the bikes could come out and be taken on long rides. Backpacks were packed with snacks and lunch and we could sit on the soft dunes and look over Melbourne City in the distance. I love this time when the tide is out and you can practically roll up your pants and walk out and cool off your feet after a long bike ride. Here are some detail photos from my view that day...
