FAVOURITE FINDS | Swimwear by Scotch Shrunk

When shopping swimwear for boys there always seem to be a few boxes to tick before we put them in our shopping baskets.  

A - how is the waist!? (who hasn't come home with a pair of swimmers that just fall off their little bums in the water..anyone? hands up over here.. and let's face it, giving the kid a plumbers bum look isn't working no matter how stylish the print is).  
B - Are they comfy!? How's the fabric, soft enough to go commando in or do you need undies to wear these?
C - How rad is the print and will the little guy love it? We always tend to pick prints that really stand out (always handy on a crowded beach or pool area when you are keeping an eye out so they are easy to spot).

These boardies by Scotch Shrunk ticks all three boxes and have such a lovely summer feel to them. They even come with a handy little pouch in swim material so when it's time to head for home after a day at the beach you got somewhere to put them to avoid the rest of the beach bag getting wet!

Let's Wear | Zirimola's sunshine Outfits

The mornings are getting very cold here, (or so it seems at 7am when you have to get out of the soft warm bed). Then there is nothing better than looking at nice summer wear for kids, instantly you think of sun kissed little bodies, laughter at the beach and melting ice creams in the sun. Hello Summer | SONS + DAUGHTERS

With the appending Australian summer around the corner and the increasing sun exposure, it was time to find some proper sunglasses for the kids. I have heard a lot of good things about SONS + DAUGHTERS and when Fourmonkeys asked if we wanted to test them out, we of course said yes.

We decided to go with the Bobby styles. The darker tortoise style for my girl and the matte frost style for the boy. SONS + DAUGHTERS sunglasses have tinted lenses for clear vision and comfort. The sunglasses are all RX'able frames allowing for prescription lense and offers 100% UV protection. They also have spring hinges for durability and comes in a nice protective case. Now we just need some proper sun to try them out in, which with a bit of luck will be very soon!

Hello Summer | Missie Munster

To continue with our run up for summer over here, I am posting another hello summer favourite, Missie Munster swimwear! Missie Munster the sister to Munster, has come out with some really nice swimwear again. Here are two of my favourites from this SS13 collection (which I wouldn't mind wearing myself!). I am loving the tones, the patterns and the pure feeling of summer which both suits has. I can see a lot of lazy afternoons on the beach in these!

Hello Summer | Pom D'Api

The cutest sandals comes from French label Pom D'Api! We finally settled on these sandals for summer and recently had the chance to see them up close. Made from the softest leather and a padded sole that can withstand all the walking a summer can ask of little feet. It also features a metallic shine and they are the perfect blend of style and comfort. How cute are the shells underneath the shoes!?

Hello Summer | Swim suits

With summer around the corner (yes I keep whispering those words to myself, especially when Spring is behaving badly and giving us rain and cold winds) I thought I would share my favourite beach wear for both boys and girls. With kids growing from year to year it is sometimes necessary to have a look in the wardrobe and realize that the two sizes too small swim suit is perhaps not so charming anymore especially when the bum cheeks are about to fall out.

First out are these two swim suits from Country Road. I am so weak for the zigzag pattern and this red and pink combo is gorgeous. I am equally weak for swans (probably have 4 tops of swans from Danefæ in our wardrobe) so  this lovely white and blue swim suit is also high on our list.
