M wears: Jacket by FUB // Sweatshirt by Bobo Choses // Skirt by Country Road // Leggings by Mini Rodini // Shoes by Vivo Barefoot. D wears: Koala knit by Toto Knits // Baggy leggings by Popupshop // Longsleeve by Mini & Maximus // Shoes by Native

Some photos from a day out on the bay. It has been so good to have the grandparents over for a longer stay. We have enjoyed the small things, like making a stick-man out of sticks and drift wood, watching all the new flowers that have sprung this past week, enjoying endless cafe visits with lovely treats and good chats. We still got a few days to enjoy them, so that is why the blog has been a bit slow. Lots of good things are to come though... a new 10 Minutes With is coming up, so look for that in the coming days.

M wears: Long sleeve by Bobo Choses, Pants by Mini & Maximus, Legwarmers by Molo, Sneakers by Walnut Melbourne // D wears: Long sleeve by Molo, Sleeveless vest by Minti, Track pants by Minti, Beanie by Witchery, Shoes by Puma.

The cold is again over this part of the world, and the rain and the wind is starting to reclaim these last days of July. The sun was still giving us a little bit of warmth in the afternoon so the toys came out and we squeezed in a play before it was time to get in and kick start the heater again. Friday at last...

Design Love - Gro Company

Every now and then you really fall in love with the quality and look of a brand. I am loving the minds of Gro Company's designers. The slightly baggy comfortable style for boys and the pastel colours with a romantic twist for the girls are so spot on! Every time I view their new collection I get giddy and I can see my own kids comfortably wearing their threads for years to come. They have managed to find the perfect balance. Not too babyish cute and not too cool that it would mean no colour is allowed! The little details like diagonal cuts and hidden pockets are as sweet feature that just reminds you that you are dealing with designers that care. Recently we got a wonderful longsleeve featuring the adorable doodle logo and Ozzy pants from Lilla Company that just confirmed what we already know. They are one of our favorite designers!

Recently Gro Company opened up their own international webshop. There you can find most of their current collections and keep updated with their up and coming shows/collections. Don't forget to check out their new Sprout collection which caters for the older kids/teenagers.

Moments | Keeping Warm

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

M wears:
Jacket by Molo // grandpa shirt by BIG // whale longsleeve by Bobo Choses // jeans by Seed // beanie by Snow Drop // shoes by Natives. D wears: Sweatshirt by Munster // jeans by Zara // beanie by Mini Rodini. Mum: Purse by Polkka Jam

The cold weather continues down here. At least we didn't got rained on today (even though D insisted on wanting to walk with an umbrella). We rugged up and after a slow breakfast we went to get some fresh air. It was windy down by the waterfront so M got a chance to try out her new Molo soft shell jacket that we got from VixVax. Two thumbs up! Light enough to not get hard to move around in but since it is wind and water proof it also keeps the body warm. I think it must be the best sort of jacket for this country! After a quick lunch in the open, it was a bit of fun time and the kids kept taking turns to jump on poor Dad. He had a celebration last night with his work so I bet 2 heavy kids on top of you quickly make you realize a late night partying doesn't really add up with energetic kids the next morning..haha. We are hoping for a warmer sunnier day tomorrow. Why does weekends have to go so fast??

Up Close | Bobo Choses

Photobucket
We recently received this Bobo Choses, whale sweatshirt in the mail and it has been a sweater that I know M has wanted for a while now. She loves whales and this stunning combo of neon yellow on slate gray is just such a gem to own. One of the negative things about buying online is that you don't get to hold and touch the garment or product you are buying. I have often become a bit disappointed when I have received something in the mail because the colour hasn't been what I had expected or the fabric for that matter. When I buy or receive something I will try and give you a detailed look on the garment so you can see up close what the clothes look like.

I was very satisfied with this sweatshirt, in fact it had details I had no clue about when I picked it. Clever little double hems in the neck and at the end of the arms, gives that nice raw look and the thickness of it was a lovely surprise. If you like what you see you can find it over at Lilla Company

Afternoon run...

Photobucket Photobucket
A new week - a new Monday. Some photos from our sneaky run to our local cafe to pick up some coffee and a juice this afternoon. After a long day in school uniform, M jumped into her new comfy pants by Gro Company. She loves pants that are tight on the leg but "loose on the caboose" as she puts it. These harem pants are from Lilla Company and they are simply stunning. They feature adjustable waist buttons in the front (the waist is otherwise a bit big, but with the buttons they become nice and snug)  and have a thick nice string in the front. The cut on these are also very nice, and are like panels on each leg which makes them wrap around the lower leg perfectly.

The jacket is from Cotton on Kids and the shoes are from Hummel. Enjoy the rest of the Monday!

Moments | Sunny Saturday

Just a few snaps from today's lazy Saturday. Managed to get ourselves a tiny sleep in, but of course it ended in both kids in our bed having a full on pillow fight. Gaah, nothing that gets you out of bed quicker than a heavy toddler stomping on your head. After a rather massive breakfast we ran it off on a great wooden playground in our area. We then drove down to a favorite hang out which have a pizzeria restaurant attached to a fenced in playground. A win win situation for both parents and kids :) Hope you are enjoying your weekend out there!

eBBe | Brand Watch

If you haven't heard of Swedish label eBBe before, you should definitely have a look! We bought a couple of eBBe items over at Oii a while back and we have loved the great basic wears with nice details. Best thing about them is that they seem to last forever and they didn't cost too much either. Right now Lilla Company are trying out eBBe and are stocking up on their latest range. Go and have a look and see if you like their new dots n' stripe collection... we do!

Popupshop | Organic Agriculture

Photobucket
Just when we moved down to Australia I heard about a label from a Danish friend called Popupshop. It was a new venture from a couple of design students that had a vision of creating basic clothing with sustainably and high quality. Their key words became timeless organics and that is just what they have created. I got in contact with the creators back in 2007 and I bought a couple of items from their first collection. I have been hooked ever since. And so has my kids, the first pair of baggy leggings and denims has been worn so many times that I am surprised they have lasted for two kids. We quickly had to restock on the leggings because they simply are the most comfy sweatpants out there to date.

We also love their great jumpsuits which have enough room to really grow up in. Since their start, they have gone from good to the best when it comes to basics and lately they have ventured into some lovely collections of knits, swimsuits and outerwear that simply has us craving for more. Right now you can find Popupshop at Lilla Company who have just started to stock them - smart choice if you ask us!

Moments | Looong weekend!

There is nothing that can beat a long weekend, and this weekend is extra long. 1 public holiday + 1 day off means heaps of family time! We celebrated by going out for breakfast before we hit one of our favorite playgrounds. The food is amazing at Sebastian's Food & Wine and both kids gobbled up their breakfast in record breaking time. We left with some large coffee's and got ready to burn some energy at a playground entirely made in wood. It is a giant maze of a castle and the kids love to go there. I love that you can let them loose without being too worried what they get up to. I had a good but hard time following my youngest, he gets into every little tunnel he can find! Here are some photos from our Saturday, hope you are enjoying your weekend as well.

Moments | Rocking the lazy days!

Thursdays rock! Just me and my little man going on adventures. A time to breathe and catch up. Today we walked a lot. Checked out the details in nature and had a good time on the beach, just throwing rocks and drawing in the sand. I know these moments are going to disappear at some point. Where things seems so simple and easy and lazy. But for now we are enjoying them to the fullest, little D & me.

Moments | Last Day Off School

Today was Mika's last day off school. They have had one day off a week to have a nice soft start of school which have been absolutely great. Not just for the kids but for the parents as well. There is one day a week were you don't have to get up so early and rush off to school and prepare school lunch. It has been a bliss. It was another day of sunshine and so far Autumn has been quite nice to us. We wanted to have a slow day so we walked/scootered to our favorite cafe and had lunch together. Mika was wearing her new dress from Gro Company which we got to try out from Lilla Company. It was love at first sight..haha. Powder pink with stars must be every little girls dream, or at least this girl's. We haven't tried Gro Company before but we definitely have a new favorite on our hands. The quality is amazing and the softness of the fabric is enough to make me jealous (why doesn't adult clothes come this soft??) When the wind got strong we got a chance to try out our warm penguin sweatshirt by Mini Nümph too. The perfect remedy for cold winds and with cuteness to boot! Well the day isn't over yet so we better make the most of it. I feel some drawing coming up...
