Things I Love | Graphic Black

Oh I am falling in love with the magical selection at Fourmonkeys these days. There is something so crisp and minimalistic that evokes my graphic love for all these labels that owner Kinga has selected carefully from across the globe. Here are a few items that tickles our fancy right now.

Nununu Circle swimming suityo-yo by Playsam / Nununu number hoodie / Be kind banner / Bunny Dress by Bang Bang Cph / Black pompom by Miss Etoile / Shoes by MAÁ / Leggings by Theif&Bandit / Foxy Girl necklace / Plush by Corby Tindersticks / Diamond by Naef.

CLOSE UP | HEART&GUTS

Recently saw that Oii was stocking a new Danish label by the name of Heart&Guts and after taking a quick look I realized it was something we had to check out a bit closer. I thought I would share some close up photographs of the clothes (and yes we had to stock up on another basic long sleeve by ESP no.1 as well so I threw that in the mix as well) to show you the characteristics of the clothes & label.

I have always been weak for the raw look, and Heart&Guts has just that. There is a lot of raw hems and they trademark themselves as Rugged Wear. I love this, and it gives a nice touch especially in boys wear. I fell head over heels in love with their pants and ordered 2 pair of Zlatan Street Pants, in grey melange and Indigo. The pants has drawstring in the waist and a nice button details in the front. The leg narrows off towards the feet and it is easy to roll them up for extra length in wear. Its mix of 95% cotton and 5% elestan makes them nice and stretchy as well. They also have a nice back pocket with print on and two pockets in the front. Their size is spot on with us ordering a 110/116 to my 4 year old (who is around 110cm). We also tried out a Ben Raw Tee in grey, which also has the lovely raw hems in the neck, arms and waist. Great, stretchy quality and soft fabric.

We were very happy with the look of the clothes and have yet had the chance to try them out, but will definitely give them a good test run soon. Best thing I save for last because that is the price range of these clothes. Good news is that they are very affordable with their prices comparing with stores like Zara & H&M. Definitely a label to keep your eye on if you are into clothes with attitude and nice details at an affordable price.

Boy Style | Munster

Munster is one of those labels that has the right amount of toughness to it to fully attract the boys. Their graphic language seem to speak the language of boys worldwide. The faded blacks, the toothy grins, the super hero supreme portrayed in a way that even the grown ups can appreciate.

D is wearing the Bone tee, teamed up with the Dee track shorts and the logo cap from the SS13 collection (now in stores). On his feet are his comfy MAÁ shoes. Tattoos are from Tattyoo.

Boys Style | Monday Outfit

Sent the little guy off to Kinder this morning and this was his Monday outfit. The morning gets quite hectic around here so I had to snap off a few shots with the camera phone. This seem to work for a kinder outfit for us, some sturdy denims, a tee and a parka that can protect against the wind when they are out playing.

In true Melbourne style by the time it he went out the door we had to keep the jacket and beanie at home, the sun had woken up and given us warmer weather already!

Parka by Zara / Jeans by I Dig Denim / Batman tee by Zara / Beanie by Vans / Shoes by 10IS.

Mini Style | Unisex Outfit

In this family there is a lot of sharing between the kids. A tee bought for the little boy would normally fit well on the big sister too. Sounds a bit odd, but M is quite petite on the torso and D is quite a sturdy lad with a torso that could match his older sister so there of swapping tees is easy!

Here is a unisex outfit that I think would look great on both boys and girls (Native shoes comes in heaps of different colours too). The denims from Mini Nümph is originally for girls but there are no specific features that makes a boy not being able to wear them.
