There are some really nice pieces of garments in BabyLady's Fall 2011 collection... Loving the harem pants with a snug sweatshirt look.

Bubbles will get you there!

Wow.. sometimes it is good to remember all you have to do is to pay 1.50 dollars for hours of fun.. bubbles never seem to seize to be amazing. My girl had a blast with them today... so did I.

Sneak peek: I Dig Denim 2012

I had to share these incredible nice mood photos from I Dig Denim's new 2012 collection. The photos are packed with Scandinavian feel, and the new items are spot on. Nice new washes, cuts and colours.

I will definitely have to get my paws on a pair of Dehli jeans and a Dante tee (new warm grey colour). I am sure my own son Dante would look quite smashing in that combo :)

Craft: Walnut Boats

Sometimes there just isn't much time to be crafty on, if you just want some quick fun try out these lovely walnut boats. Perfect for a spin in the bathtub!
via: Made by Joel

Just melt some candle wax into a walnut shell. When the wax gets a little firm, stick a toothpick in it for the mast of the boat. Let the wax cool. (We stuck ours in the fridge for a couple minutes.) Then attach a paper sail by poking it onto the toothpick. Ahoy!

...and simple. Sometimes my kids can just live in a tee and a pair of trackies. I like these combos! A bit of American, bit Danish and toss in a bit of New Zeeland as well.

iPad 4 Kids

We have a huge hit with our almost 2 year old (and 4 year old) and the iPad app My First Puzzles : Snakes. It is a puzzle game with different themes, where the child drags the pieces into the right place. When the puzzle is finished a big applause is heard (my boy gets incredible proud at this point), and a new puzzle challenge comes up. It is a fun and cheap option (under 3 AUD ) for those days on the go, or when those good old classic ones have been done too many times. You can download a free version to try out the first couple of puzzles.

Mom Stories...

Take a trip home to Angelique Roelofsen creator of Bieq, and their lovely family house in The Netherlands.

H&M Home

I think I am the only one that missed that H&M has a home range now?? I only found out because I got sucked into this lovely summer photo. I can stay in there and warm up until it get's summer again here in Australia. Mmmmm... I can feel that warm breeze now.

Seed Cathedral

I totally missed this exhibition called the Seed Cathedral for the Shanghai Expo in 2010. Created by the talented Heatherwick Studio, the Seed Cathedral is a platform to show the work of the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew and their Millennium Seedbank.

In the circulation zone under the landscape that surrounds the Seed Cathedral a series of installations explore in more detail the particularity of nature and UK cities. The Seed Cathedral is a 20-metre high building, constructed from 60,000 transparent 7.5-metre long optical strands, each of which has embedded within its tip a seed.

The interior is silent and illuminated only by the daylight that has filtered past each seed through each optical hair. The UK Pavilion has consistently been ranked by visitors as one of the most popular pavilions with 50,000 people visiting each day.

Very easy to fall in love with this Dutch studio called WonderWood. Take a look inside their studio in this article by Marjon Hoogervorst.

Ride in Style

How cool are these kids bikes in chopper/low rider style? Add some safety with a blue Benk helmet and the kids dream is complete ;) Both items available here.

Looking to Nordic mythology and the constant Scandinavian drizzle for inspiration, Danefæ had its first big success with brightly printed ladies raincoats back in 2006.Danefæ is still going strong with their bold colours and patterns. The new high summer collection is full of goodies. I am especially liking the bedlinen, that is reversible with a print on one side and stripes on the other (also comes with a nice bag).

Katrin Arens

Katrin Arens is a German furniture designer, nowadays located in the north of Italy.

Most of the pictures you've seen, are part of an article which appears in the last issue of Milk magazine.

All her furniture is handmade, usually from recycled wood, which gives them this simple yet personal style. She has much more pieces in her website, so if you like these ones, go there and discover them.

Pimp your IKEA

Fliffa is a studio located in Brooklyn with a very specific working, you choose a piece in IKEA website, they buy it in Brooklyn IKEA and customize it for you... If you are not in the US I would recommend just having a go with the brush yourself.

Instead of throwing all those magazines out, sit on them! Great idea from German studio NJstudio. I know I sure have enough to make one tall chair!

Interview: Cat-Rabbit

I have to share this interview from The Finders Keeper with one of my favorite plush toy/designers, Cat-Rabbit. Her designs are so inspiring and original, I can look at them forever and then discover something new... like the bear below... his head is upside down!! Brilliant!

Baby Goes Retro Shop

Simply head on over to 129 Mooloolaba Esp, in Mooloolaba, QLD and Helen and Anna will help you pick some colourful threads for your little ones! Judging from the photos it is a little slice of retro heaven so don't wait too long for that visit.

A kit for a strapping young lad... I love the black/orange combo but didn't find any nice tee so I picked one of my own designs. How cool are the graffiti shoes by Marc Jacobs??

I am loving the cobalt blue for boys at the moment. I found the pants at Zara yesterday and they look so nice on my son. Here are some other threads that would go well with them. You can find them at Zara (pants + shoes), Smallable (vest) and Oii barnkläder (t-shirt).

Let's Swim!

We were on the hunt for a new swimsuit for my daughter M. Her old RipCurl has been worn so many times you can almost see through it. Not a biggy I thought.. there must be some nice swimsuits to choose between out there... and there was! So much that we had a hard time choosing one. We like this style, it works well on the Aussie beaches and works just as well in the pool at swim school. Here are a few we had a look at.

In the end she chose a completely different one.
