Brand Watch | NOVA STAR aw13

Swedish Nova Star is something that I have had in my kids wardrobe for a long time now. I bought our first pair of sweatpants and jeans about 7 years ago and since then many more NS clothes have ended up being favourites with the kids (the first sweatpants are still being used by little brother right now). They have just released their AW13 collection and there are some great new styles for both boys and girls who are after cool, soft design.

Nova Star was created by Helena Orlenius in 2004, when she had her first child, Novalieh. The style of the label is inspired by street fashion. Comfortable and functional clothes with great quality for a lot of adventures. Sizes run from 68 - 150 (3m - 12 yrs).

Oii barnkläder carries a big range of their collections and they ship worldwide.

Moments | Beach House Weekend part II

Some more photos from our lovely weekend in Walkerville. It really was like a bit of heaven on earth this beach. Full of rock pools and caves, amazing trees and plants and plenty of opportunity to just explore for the kids. I went a bit mad with the camera because everywhere I looked there were something else beautiful to capture.

The tide was prefect so we had some great chances to explore some little caves that went through the big rock walls of the beach. There were perfect little rock formations everywhere and M found the biggest piece of seaweed we have ever seen! I am glad we packed the gumboots because that really allowed us to go everywhere, even though I think all of us stepped a bit too deep in water at some point! The water was so clear that on several occasions you couldn't even see it was there!

After a few hours on the beach the tummies were growling so we went to the nearby village for some fish n chips and a chance to stock up on some firewood and tonight's dinner and birthday celebrations.

We had a great little get away this weekend when we packed the car and drove off towards the Gippsland territory and the little fishing town of Walkerville. We rented a great little beach house with walking distance to the wonderful Walkerville South beach. The drive was a wonderful adventure in itself, where we stopped over at Caldemear farm and had lunch and milkshakes. The kids got to pet some farm animals and it was a great place to stop to stretch some tired legs.

After our lunch we continued our drive through the Gippsland area which is a beautiful landscape filled with lush, green hills with grassing cows and sheep where ever your eye could see. I can see why Gippsland is the dairy source # 1 in Australia. This area almost remind me more of Ireland. The view was amazing from the road which went up and down like a roller coaster. After about 2 and a half hours we finally reached our destination which was perfect timing. The kids loved the house we had rented. It was a lovely raised beach house with high ceiling and nice views. The kids got their own room with bunk beds which was an instant hit.

After we had settled in and unpacked we headed down to the walking track to check out the area. It became a moon lit walk down to the beach which was amazing. We all agreed to return early the next day so we could experience it in the light. We walked home and lit the open fire and had some hot chocolate while listening to all the different animal sounds we don't get to experience living in the city. Since next day was going to be full of fun things as we had a little 4 year old to celebrate and lots of outdoor to explore, we all turned in early and slept in our new beds.

Moments | The Big Outdoors

M wears: Hoodie by Bobo Choses / Jeans by NOVA STAR / Long sleeve by Stella McCartney / Shoes by Feiyue / Beanie by Sportsgirl / Backpack by Bobo Choses.

D wears:
Zip Sweater by NOVA STAR / Jeans by Kulör / Shoes by Gumboots / Cap by Zoo York / Long sleeve by Cotton On Kids.

The best thing about living so close to the coast is that its never more than 5 minutes to the great outdoors. The best playground you can find. The beach turns into a big dirt track for small cars and motorbike toys, a stick is the tool to saving a big beached jellyfish, or a nearby forest is full of adventures and magic trees that are excellent to play hide and seek in. Tomorrow we are off for a weekend away. We rented a beach house, close to a wonderful coastline filled with caves and cliffs. I am sure the kids will have a great time exploring as will us adults. Will make sure to bring the camera to show you some of the adventures when we get back.

Until then, enjoy your weekend!!
