DESIGN | K desk by Rafa Kids

I have always loved pure, clean design, and this lovely K desk by Rafa Kids is a perfect example. Made from high quality Finnish Birch, put together with only 6 invisible screws it is the perfect desk for a kids room. I love their take on a classic school bench idea, and their functional ideas such as opening lid for extra storage, works perfectly with their esthetically design choices such as making sure it has a soft closing lid. It is clean and elegant and most of all timeless!

Check out a video on it here, and for how to order please visit:

INTERIOR | Room with a View

Some room inspiration from the wonderful world of Pinterest. I find myself looking at light rooms filled with colour. Most things in a kids world is full of colour so I really like that they are based in a bright and neutral surrounding. Above is a few rooms that shows what I am talking about.

I like how some has focused on a few nice storage systems that really gives the room character, like the cool vintage looking wire boxes with hangers, or why not give that old wardrobe a new lick of paint and make it a center piece of the room, like the orange wardrobe in the bottom right picture? All good ideas to get inspired by. Happy Saturday out there!

Family Home | Finger In The Nose

"To step into the Norweigan-French couple Siv Tone Kvernelands and Jonathan Miltats home is  a little bit like ending up in a retro inspired painting. There is plenty of furniture in teak, smoke colored vases and brown shimmering ceramics. All mixed with modern and more urban furniture picked with a style secure hand. The style factor is high in this home and that should come as no surprise since Siv Tone is the founder and designer of the cool kids label Finger In The Nose."

There is a interview with the couple in the latest Swedish mama magazine (unfortunately only in swedish but Google translate works well). I love how they mix old and new in one wonderful looking home (where apparently the kids got a whole floor to themselves!).

Interior | Henry Wilson

I am loving this Chevron Shelf modular shelving system by Sydney designer Henry Wilson. He has invented this great joinery system which makes it possible for his furniture to be flat-packed and self-assembled.

This shelving system would be wonderful bookshelf in a kids room. You can stack and join for different configurations and the big bonus in the end is that it is easy to pack up and put away!

Where the Wild Things Live...

Oh to be a kid again and rule your own domain, looking out over toys, wild adventures and your very own HUT! Love this idea that basically takes a tree house and turns it into a bunk bed.

F bunk bed | Rafa Kids

A week ago I showed you the lovely R Toddler bed from Rafa Kids, and now I would like to show you their F bunk bed. It comes in three different colour options, White Wash, Dark chocolate and Natural. When Rafa Kids designed this bed they thought the bed was more than just a place to sleep. They wanted to encourage play, creativity and beauty, which I really feel they have succeeded with.

Right now they are having a special summer offer with the F Bunk Bed, where if you buy a bed you get a free high quality mattress. More more info on this lovely bed and how to obtain their special offer visit:

DESIGN | Onshus

I get all giddy when a designer makes something that is not only esthetically wonderful but also manages to put a big dose of functionality in it as well. I have been on the hunt for a great desk for my almost 7 year old and came across Dutch design studio Onshus.  Their desk + bench combo 4zitter has it all. A beautiful airy feeling and clever storage space for books, pens etc. I love the clean lines and clever design and it would make a perfect workspace for a growing kiddo. via Rafa Kids

First Big Bed | Rafa Kids

Loving this R Toddler bed from Rafa Kids, that now has a new colour in it's pristine white wash option.

We know well that moment in time when a child is outgrowing his crib is a huge step in his life. That’s why we created a bed that encourages child’s independence and also stimulates his growth through play. We see a child’s bed not only as a place to sleep but also as a challenging and beautiful element of his room. So here we go! A functional, safe and at the same time good looking.

KID | furniture by Agnés et Agnés

The Collection 'KID' by French duo Agnés et Agnés is a new take on the traditional desk, toybox, bedside table and book case. It took about 5 years in the making but they  have come up with something that is quite special and in doing so, they have managed to fused both aesthetic and functional together! Using simple birch plywood and coloured cubes they have deconstructed the elements of each piece and put them back together. It's now up to you to combine the elements according to your needs.

INSPIRATION | Animal Art Tables

How ridiculously cool are these drawing tables made for an art exhibit by Zebra 3? There are no plans at putting them into production, but it must have been a real cool experience for the kids who got a chance to try them out. Let your imagination free!!
