Moments | Rain drops keep falling on my head...
The rain has been falling heavy lately. Big drops in large amounts. Still it is quite warm so this is what my girl was wearing today. Beautiful dress c/o Mói and gumboots by Bergstein. Somehow it was the perfect outfit for today!
Lil Missie Munster AW13
The lil missie munster is in town! The last of our Munster Kids AW13 reveal is for the little independent missie, the "I can do it myself" girl, the strong minded, outgoing and curious little lady. Lil Missie is the last in the growing collection that is Munster Kids, the little sister to Missie Munster but definitely strong enough to stand by herself.
I love that even though it is a winter collection they don't shy away from nice warm and strong colours, that reminds us of the wonderful summer we have had so far! Bright yellows, orange and strong patterns will be a hit with the little ladies out there and how great is the tiger zip up hoodie?! Love the yellow and pink details and it will be such a great thing to snug up in when winter comes around the corner...

Boy Outfit
The camo style is back in black this season, and I have to admit I like it. Here is an outfit I think would look great on a boy. Keeping the camo down to one item, these new 10IS Classic leather high tops would be a perfect choice. Easy zip up sides for quick slip-ons makes it even better! Pair it with some comfy baggy sweatpants like the No Falling Allowed pants by Mini & Maximus and a vintage look tee by Zara. To keep the warm in, cosy up in a Parkas by H&M and slap a slouchy thick knitted beanie on the head. Also love the vintage looking messenger bag also from Zara. See below for shopping sources.
1. Khaki Parkas by H&M // 2. La Habana Tee by Zara // 3. No Falling Allowed pants by Mini & Maximus // 4. Knitted skull beanie by Zara // 5. Messenger bag by Zara // 6. Ten C Mid Lace Camo leather shoes by 10IS Classic.

Dazed and Confused
D wears: Tee by Bobo Choses // Shorts by Nova Star // Shoes by Vivobarefoot // Cap by Billabong. M wears: Tee by Mini & Maximus // Skirt by H&M // Shoes by Vans // Cap by Element.
Another hot day has passed. We opted to skip the beach this time and headed to a park we knew had a lot of shade and paths to scooter on for the kids. There is even a nice lake and plenty of playgrounds to play on. Even though we sat down for ice cream and water breaks it was still quite hot so the entire visit was cut down to 2 hours before we all had enough of the balmy weather. Right now the kids are getting soaked with the hose outside. Still 35C at 7pm in the evening over here. I guess the shower is taken care of then :) Enjoy your weekend out there.

Friday Love
D wears: Tee by Bobo Choses // Denim sweatpants by Molo // Sweatshirt by Cheap Monday // slouch beanie by Cotton on Kids // Sneakers by Converse.
Our Friday in pictures pretty much. Love waking up knowing it is Friday and there is just one little guy I can shower with attention. We looked at fish in the sea, black swans sunbathing on big rocks, We climbed trees, threw skipping rocks, enjoying lunch in the sun, ate a blue elephant cookie on the playground, and played hide and seek on the big old wooden boat. It's the simple moments that most often are the best ones, and this was definitely one of those days filled with simple moments. We finally got to try on the great Molo sweatpants we got a while back. They were so great! Still a little bit big (size 110 on a 3 1/2 yr old), but with the great pull strings in the waist it just gives it a bit more of a baggy style which we already like. These will be some serious winter favorites for sure.
Hope you all get to enjoy a nice weekend out there!!

Nico Nico @ Minibots
The winter collection by Nico Nico entitled Undergrad, has landed on the shelves at Minibots and it is filled with some super soft and modern garments to keep the little ones warm and stylish. Nico Nico is made from the finest organic fabric and is one of the most comfortable lines your kids could wear. The silhouettes are timeless and can easily be passed down. We own several of these garments ourselves and I can easily recommend them, our favorites are the powder pink and grey freshmen pullover, the champ leggings, sophomore sweatpants, and the various crest longsleeves.
NICO NICO began with Sue Tsai’s decade long experience in women’s apparel design, fashion editorial and celebrity styling. After the birth of her son, Nico, Sue was inspired to create a children’s clothing line that combined style, simplicity and comfort at reasonable prices. She wanted to create designs for children and families who were fashion forward and shared in NICO NICO’s philosophy that kids clothing can be modern and environmentally conscious. NICO NICO is made from fine organic and sustainable fabrics and is made domestically here in the United States. This modern and comfortable collection is designed for children ages 18 months to 12 years old.

Street Art For the People
More street art for the people I say! The best form of street art is when they incorporate the objects in the art I think. Here are some brilliant examples to get your week started. More art here.

Best Basics
It is almost comical to look at these photos today since it is a whopping 37C today and warm basic is no where close to be needed, but when these very hot days comes around I think I am one step closer to wishing for some cooler weather. I know as soon as I have even thought that thought I regret it, but sometimes you just need to go there to realize that you love all seasons of the year. I could never live in a place with only 1 season. I love the warm weather and sunny days at the beach but there is something magical about a crisp day with blue sky and saltwater air coming in from the sea too. Above is some good examples what my kids love to wear the most. We always try to get these items when the colder weater sets in.
Beanies - I got a thing for beanies and so has my kids, mostly my son who keep insisting to wear one even though it can be warm outside. But a couple of good beanies is a great investment over the winter season and can complete any neat outfit. We try to get a couple of thin ones and a thick one for those extra cold days.
Zip up sweaters - are great! Easy to put on, easy to take off. Definitely something we got a lot of in the wardrobe and they always get used.
Baggy pants / Trackies - My boy loves them. My girl not too much. There is nothing that gets my little guy moving better than a pair of roomy pants and if you team it with some snug top it is the cutest look. On the other hand it is a preference, my girl liked them and then went over to the tight/leggings side because she thought they felt funny, so it's totally up to the kids what they prefer.
Gumboots - We try to invest in a pair of good ones, because we use them A LOT! When Autumn and Winter comes around we like to go out and with living in Melbourne there is a lot of rain to go out in. Well made gumboots will last for a long time and if you get a gender neutral colour you can be sure to pass them down to the younger siblings.
Denims - my kids live in them in the colder months. Just like the gumboots if you pick some quality ones they will last. I have gotten so many denims that either loose their size-able waist buttons or waist buttons or simply wear out too quickly. We normally try to get jeans by either Munster kids / I Dig Denim or Mini Rodini since they are the three labels that seem to last the longest for us. Again on the plus side is that little brother can take those jeans over from his big sister and that way the extra money you spend on them will be worth it in the end.
Knitted Sweaters - You can't go wrong with a warm sweater. FUB makes some amazing knits that seem to last season after season, no matter how many times you wash them. When the winds are cold we team them up with a thin thermal top underneath and then the kids are ready to play on those windy beaches.
