Moments | Sunday Sightseeing

M wears: Sweater by Finger In the Nose / Pants by Missie Munster / Shoes by Molo. D wears: Hoody by Mini & Maximus / Pants by Munsterkids / Shoes by Natives / Cap by Beau LOves.

The wind was teasing us this weekend with colder and then warmer winds. We rugged up and visited the baywalk to view the ironman spectacle that was taking place this Sunday. The kids had fun on their scooters and climbed the palm trees with natural monkey skills. You can feel Autumn gently moving in and you can sense a change is coming very soon. Not sure if I am ready for winter yet. Somehow it feels harder for each year. You wish the summer months would last longer, but for  my family and friends over in Europe I wish they will have a taste of warmer weather soon. Hope you all had a lovely weekend out there and are ready for a new week...

New In | Marle Grey Love

When you are not in the mood for black and not feeling like wearing white, I always jump for joy that there is marle grey! I somehow never get tired of grey, especially not when its that perfect raw mix of dark and white. One label that always seem to make the perfect marle grey blend is Finger in the Nose. Here are two garments from their new collection. As the days are getting slowly colder this horse sweater was the perfect choice for my girl. The running stallions looks amazing, and the lovely details like the longer back and thumb holes to keep the hands warm makes it the perfect sweat.

For the skateboard loving boy we had to get this hilarious tee of the skating hamburger. I laughed when he saw it and said 'skating burger, I love it!!'. The quality is so wonderful and soft and their tees are instant favorites, because they only get softer with wear.

We also got a big stack of temporary tattoos as promised since M designed these a few months back for Orange Mayonnaise as store tattoos (you get a free sheet when ordering). We loved how they turned out and she can't wait to share them with her friends.

Moments | Hey Skater Dude!

D wears: Tee by Cheap Monday / Jeans by I Dig Denim / Shoes by MAA shoes / Cap by DC

Wednesday feels like the new Friday for us. No hump day here... It is the first day of the week, when we all pretty much arrive home together and get to enjoy the afternoon sun together, like today. Love these moments when you get to catch up on each others day and just do lazy things like hanging out on a board. This little guy is growing so much lately. His vocabulary is growing each day and I am amazed with how good he dances and is seemingly a natural on a skateboard. I think it is fair to say I am mighty proud of him, he has come a far way and I can't wait to see what he is up to next.

Rain ready with Gardner and the Gang

With winter comes rain, and lots of it here in Melbourne so this winter I thought we better be prepared in style! These classic gumboots from Swedish Gardner and the Gang has been on our radar for a long time, and this season both my girl and boy will rock a pair! I love how these are the perfect unisex choice as the little bit of pink in there will make them sweet enough for the girls to wear, but the skull is tough enough for the boys.

We also got the chance to sneak a peek at their new AW14 range which is coming out in a few months time. How cool is that raincoat!? Lots of great garments with rad prints and comfortable fabrics. New for that collection is that the sizes now come all the way up to 8yrs (yes finally!). Oh and they have something as amazing as FREE WORLD WIDE SHIPPING too!

Moments | Weekend Discovery

M wears: Knitted Jumper by Rika Kids / Jungle Queen leggings by Missie Munster / Longsleeve by Bobo Choses / Shoes by Molo. D wears: Hoodie by Munsterkids / Jeans by Munsterkids / Shoes by Converse / Cap by Vans.

Every now and then you just realize how much Melbourne has to offer for families. Most of the time we go to old favourite hang out spots but then sometimes we run straight into new spots and get blown away with what have been here all along without us knowing it. Rippon Lea Estate garden is one of those spots. Through a little gate you step back in time and get to visit the old mansion with everything kept as is from the turn of the century. The several gardens with leafy pathways are also a great place for the kids to run around to explore. You can sneak under a waterfall and even climb several lookout towers to get a better view. The highlight for us were the magical fern hangar which felt a little bit like walking in to the closet in Narnia except for a more tropical version!

We had a great time here this Sunday and will definitely come back again soon. Next time we will bring a picnic basket and sit down to listen to the Jazz band that was playing.

Moments | For the love of Sharks!

D wears: Long sleeve by Munsterkids / Shorts by Munsterkids / Shoes by Natives / Helmet by Mambo.

My little boy is infatuated by sharks. He loves watching them on TV and when we visited the aquarium so he could see them close up he stood there for ages just looking at them with his mouth wide open. So when I saw Munsterkids had this longsleeve in their AW14 collection I knew it would be a hit with my boy. I have said it before and I am saying it again, Munsterkids know their audience :) These are a few photos from our Tuesday together.

We took a scooter trip up to the stores, we were on a mission to find whoopee cushions!! I know..serious stuff, we finally found them and bought 2 for good measure (he blew up the first one he got). Needless to say there were a lot of giggles and farting noises in our house that same afternoon.
