I think this must be the scooter generation. My kids loves their scooters and the freedom it gives them. My vocal cords has certainly had to grow to love them ( the 3 year old has a tendency to keep on going way after the word 'stop' has be shouted ), but I can see how much fun it is. I also have to admit I have borrowed M's scooter on several occasions for a late kinder pick up and it is so much fun to ride it. Above is some photos from last nights evening scooter session... they are getting good!

Some photos from today's outing. It was wonderful to see some sun again after a very moody weather week. Before the rain I was almost wishing for some cooler weather, but it only took me 2 days to realize I am nowhere ready to greet the autumn and winter. I sure hope we get a very long autumn with crisp sunny days and a mild winter this year. Today it was about 27c and very windy by the beach so we had to cancel the idea of going in because it would be way to cold to go up in the wind.

We did get to enjoy the spectacular bay view though, and kick a bit of ball before we headed up to the beach cafe for some lunch. We were lucky and got the whole back area to ourselves which you certainly need sometimes with our kids. They were stuck in cheeky mode and were anything but sitting still or being quiet (not that kids are..hah!) But us adults got to enjoy a nice cup of coffee and take in the seaside while the kids munched on calamari and chips.

Tomorrow they are promising another warm sunny day so hopefully it will be warm enough for some saltwater adventures again.

After a day of fever and general feeling unwell this little guy woke up with a cool forehead and a LOT to say. It is amazing how well little kids seem to kick a sickness. The difference was enormous. Yesterday he ordered me to take him home, and that was even standing in a TOY store. Then you know for sure the kid is not feeling well. But a day of couch surfing seem to have done the trick because today he has been doing nothing but handing out orders on what he wants to do (which is fine by me).

It has taken awhile but finally D is loving his balance bike. It isn't really that he hasn't liked it really it was more it was too big and he felt scared on it. Today he insisted it had to come with us, no matter where we went so it did. He did great on it. I thought for sure I would be carrying it after 5 minutes but nope... (it took at least 50 minutes...haha). Today I can see the end of a pram era actually. Wow independent kids...loving it!

We also had the chance to try out the new pants by KaLLio today. I am loving this idea of recycling quality shirts into children's wear. Check out our feature on their label if you missed it a while back, it is such a wonderful way of re using lovely fabrics.
