CLOSE UP | HEART&GUTS

Recently saw that Oii was stocking a new Danish label by the name of Heart&Guts and after taking a quick look I realized it was something we had to check out a bit closer. I thought I would share some close up photographs of the clothes (and yes we had to stock up on another basic long sleeve by ESP no.1 as well so I threw that in the mix as well) to show you the characteristics of the clothes & label.

I have always been weak for the raw look, and Heart&Guts has just that. There is a lot of raw hems and they trademark themselves as Rugged Wear. I love this, and it gives a nice touch especially in boys wear. I fell head over heels in love with their pants and ordered 2 pair of Zlatan Street Pants, in grey melange and Indigo. The pants has drawstring in the waist and a nice button details in the front. The leg narrows off towards the feet and it is easy to roll them up for extra length in wear. Its mix of 95% cotton and 5% elestan makes them nice and stretchy as well. They also have a nice back pocket with print on and two pockets in the front. Their size is spot on with us ordering a 110/116 to my 4 year old (who is around 110cm). We also tried out a Ben Raw Tee in grey, which also has the lovely raw hems in the neck, arms and waist. Great, stretchy quality and soft fabric.

We were very happy with the look of the clothes and have yet had the chance to try them out, but will definitely give them a good test run soon. Best thing I save for last because that is the price range of these clothes. Good news is that they are very affordable with their prices comparing with stores like Zara & H&M. Definitely a label to keep your eye on if you are into clothes with attitude and nice details at an affordable price.

Petit Grocery Jean Gustav | Bobo Choses

I fell head over heels in love with the new collection Petit Grocery Jean Gustav by Bobo Choses. It was one of those collections where you instantly wanted all of it. But then reality set in and I had to select a few pieces that we really wanted (kids got to choose). We are getting a total of 4 items and here is the first 2 we got. The orange singlet and the comfy stone washed sweatshirt. We got ours from Oii barnkläder and as usual we were very happy with the quality. I like the oversized approach some of the garments have this time around. They look comfy but not sloppy, we went with the same size as the other collections and they seem similar in size. Also love the fact that this collection is in 100% organic cotton. Have you gotten anything from this range yet or what are your favorites?

Something warm in the mail

In the middle of warm summer days a little package arrived that made the thought of Winter not too unbearable. These warm beanies/hats by Swedish CTH Mini will be perfect for when those cold winds arrive. We chose the Pelle Jr. Melange, Black and the Kim Jr. Soft Knit, Graphite. which fit the kids head perfectly. They are a size 54 and 5 years and over.

CTH Mini has created high quality head wear for both child and adults since 1885 and the craftsmanship is truly wonderful. If you are looking for some great head wear I can definitely recommend them. Visit their retailer page for more info on how to find a store near you that sells these wonderful hats, caps and beanies.

New in the Wardrobe

New winter kit for the little guy arrived today from Oii. Been eying this cozy winter jacket from Swedish TheBRAND for ages, and when it was on sale I couldn't help but getting it for the upcoming winter here Down Under. The lucky thing about living in an opposite season is of course you get to shop on sale for things you actually need very soon! We also threw in a pair of grey leggings from Rockefella (this guy basically live in his leggings) and a long sleeve (sorry, sold out)  from one of our favorite Australian labels, Munster Kids!

Size info: Jacket size 5 / Long sleeve size 4 / Leggings size 4-5 ( D is 3 1/2 and all items fits well.)

All items on sale over att Oii barnkläder

New In | Nico Nico

Got the urge to show you the latest buys I did from a popup sale via Style By Agency. We stocked up on some Nico Nico, a brand that we already love for their great quality and softness in their fabric.  Even though the clothes are basics they simply have some lovely details that makes them quite special. I am weak for charcoal (goes so well with anything, especially denims) so we got two tops to get us through both summer and Autumn, and some lovely thick sweatpants. The sizing is a little bit on the smaller side so we grabbed the size 6 so we got something to grow into. I would say they are more like a size 5, so if you buy from this season of Nico Nico go 1 size up to be sure.

NEW IN... SKANDINAVIA RAW

We stocked up on some more basics recently. A while back we purchased some leggings by Swedish label, Skandinavian Raw SKRW and both my kids have loved them. Even though two kids have put them through the rough they still manage to look great but it made me think it was time to get some new ones. We got the baggy leggings with the beautiful butterfly print for the girl and a pair of nice stripey ones for the boy. I have also been curious to try out their nice thick Sweat, so one of those had to come along too. I like how the leggings have the narrow leg and a generous fit for the crouch. It gives them a lot of room for movement but they are not stumbling on fabric around their feet. I also like that it gives room for growth since the narrow leg is easy to fold up, so you can go a size above your child's age.

I am also weak for details and these have a few nice ones, like the thumb holes in the sweat, with extra long hems for the arms and the raglan cut. I also like the discreet tag on the leggings up on the back. It always feels nice to shop some nice basic garments with some proper quality, so I am sure I will head back for more soon...

Up Close | In the bag!

There has been some new additions to the kids wardrobe lately. One of the only negative things about online shopping is that you of course can't touch and feel the products before you buy then, and sometimes I have been rather disappointed when the clothes actually arrive, because either the colour of the garment have been different or the quality you had hoped for wasn't there. So with these posts I hope I can show some of the details that you almost never can get before buying things online. This is what we ordered:

TOURING HOODIE by MUNSTER KIDS // SNEAKERS by HUMMEL // DRESS by BOBO CHOOSES // BUTTON UP HOODIE by GRAY LABEL // FLEECE ZIP UP JACKET by NOVA STAR.

I have been searching hi and lo for the Munster hoodie for my boy. I should have bought it a long time ago, but somehow it never happened and then when I wanted it, it was nowhere to be found. Luckily I did find one, although in size 6, so big sis might have to rock the guitar hoodie a bit before the boy can actually get it. As usual the quality of Munster is great. I also love the little thumb holes and the sneaky embroided Munster head on the arm.

The sneakers by Hummel were also a hit. Nice classic white sneakers with white and blue details. Nice soft sole and easy to put on velcro straps. We ordered a size 28 and they were very true to size.

The dress by Bobo Choses was a c/o I Dream Elephants. I love this dress. The red colour completely pops and it will look so nice on my girl. The material is very soft and t-shirt like. We ordred a size 8-9 because that is what she wears in tops, but the dress is running a bit bigger than the tops so it is quite big on her.

Gray Label is new to us, so I was excited to see how it was. We ordered a button up hoodie in midnight blue and a baggy pant in warm grey. We were very happy with both. The hoodie has a lovely deep colour to it. The only tiny minus is that it is not very stretchy, but since it has buttons going all the way up, it won't be any trouble getting it over my sons head. We ordred size 5-6 in the pants and size 6 in the hoodie. Both true to size.

We were very happy with the soft fleece Nova Star jacket. I have had my eye on it for a while, but wasn't sure what the colour was. It looked different in different production shots, so I hesitated for a while. I decided to take a shot at it, and I have to say we are very pleased with it. It is super soft, and has a nice chocolate colour in real life. It has a stripey inner lining, thumb holes and feels like a really nice all around jacket. Good for cold spring days or summer evenings and perfect for autumn or winter in Australia.

Items were purchased at: Oii barnkläder // Millie Molly Moo // I Dream Elephants.

Tee Love!

A new tee for the summer got added to D's wardrobe. This one is perfect for the warm spring days and even better for the hot summer months! The tee's from Bobo Choses SS12 collection are wonderful. Thin, crisp tees with nice soft edges... total tee love!

In the bag!

I have had my eye on these thing for a long time now and finally the prices were too good to resist. Danish webshop Pipsqueak, has a great selection of labels and they also carry some of my favorites like Rika, I Dig Denim and Mini Nümph. The good thing about ordering overseas is that the tax is being withdrawn, so you can make some quite good bargains when you order from Europe etc. These items are currently on sale as well so there really weren't much to say no to :). The knitted sweat is ordered in a size 5-7 so both kids can enjoy it, and as far as the denims, the Dehli hang for the boy and the cool Anna denims for the girl.

1. Rika, Sweater // 2. I Dig Denim, Dehli hang // 3. Mini Nümph, Anna denim.

Moments | Triangle Love

M wears: Zip up sweater by Bobo Choses // Baggy leggings by Popupshop // Ugg boots by Emu // Cat beanie by Cotton On.

A nice little package from Orfeo came today. Two Bobo Choses tops, one which had to be tried out instantly. We do love a bit of triangles so we got a bit of a happy dance out of it...

Howling Cool!

There was one thing I couldn't resist getting from the new collection of ESP no.1 over at Skip To My Lou. This wicked tee with a howling wolf was just too cool to walk by. I am so weak for this vintage black look with raw edges and soft quality. It is definitely ESP no.1 signature trademark and it is something I always seem to fall for. The cotton is light and airy and this tee is one that will just get better with age. To accompany it I bought a wrap scarf from the same label and the best thing about this one is that it stays on! Again soft quality with no itch in sight! I can't wait until the days will get warmer and the little guy can be sporting this one without a big sweater on top!

In the Bag!

Did some ordering from Wild and Mini the other day and thought I had to share the Minti goodness we received ( incredible fast delivery and free within Australia as well!). We ordered two tees a sweater vest and an activity book from our favorite kids magazine creators, Anorak. We couldn't pass up on the classic bear ziggy tee, got a longsleeve in it which D has loved so we added another neat summer tee to the collection. M received a unicorn tee which will be sooo loved and adored (what's with girls and unicorns!?) We also have a couple of the sleeveless hoodies from Minti and they have seriously been the best chest warmers around. Great for a cold summer evening, and perfect for layering up during the whole winter. This cool little happy spinner print became an instant hit with D, and a clear winner for today's outfit.

If you haven't checked out Wild and Mini yet, do yourself a favor and do!! You won't be disspointed and it is the number one source if you are either a Minti fan or Little Horn fan, or just crazy about Anorak Magazine like us.

Have a nice weekend out there!!

MOLO AW12 | GIRLS

Here are some photos of the girl range from the MOLO AW12 collection. We couldn't have been more pleased with these clothes. It really is rock infused with ballet! Great bold colours mixed with some marle grey and neat rock black details.

TUTU SKIRT
- (Brunhilda) OMG, this tutu is simply every girls dream. Made from a lush nylon mesh it is so fluent, and the twirl factor is very HIGH (according to M). It has got a great shine and is very soft as well. I love the colours they have mixed in this one, it also has a soft layer underneath for extra comfort against the skin.

STAR LEGGINGS + LEGWARMERS - (Nydia+Nizana) You can never go wrong with a star print, and these will be a classic in my girls wardrobe very quickly. They go really well with the tutu skirt and the two toned legwarmers are such a cool accessory! There is not enough legwarmers out there and I am happy to see Molo has brought them back to the cold little legs out there!

MUST HAVE TEE
- (Rose) The name says it all. A classic black/charcole longsleeve tee with a raw bottom hem and a cute crease in the neck. It also has some very nice details such as neon pink embroided stars on the side.

BALLET SWEATPANTS - (Anni) How cool are these sweatpants!? Thick quality with soft fleece on the inside, these sweatpants comes with a full length print of two ballet legs on! M's reaction was "lets wear it right now"... I can't wait to show you them on.. they look great!

If you are looking for stockists for Molo you can check out either Baby Goes Retro or VixVax.com who both carry Molo in their shops! There is also Swedish Oii Design who has recently started carrying the range as well as Finnish online shop Lilla Company

MOLO AW12 | BOYS

We recently got some Molo clothes sent to us for testing out. This is definitely one of the wonderful things about writing about children's fashion. Opening the Molo package was a little like Christmas because you know that this label is 100% focused on details and quality. I think there are very few production shots that can justify the level of detail of these clothes. There is always something that surprises you when you unpack it and it is those details that makes Molo what it is. Neon is in full swing this season and I love the way they have incorporated it in different places on the garments.

CHINOS - The strikingly blue chinos (Ardell/nautic surf) is a home run! Wonderfully soft fabric combined with some great orange neon details makes them an instant favorite for my boy. They come with an adjustable waist and a whole lot of cool!

LONGSLEEVE PRINT - Muscle cars ahoy! This power punching longsleeve (Ryan) will make my boy squeal of delight! The street car print is bathing in neon and has the classic Molo star prints on the arms. Lovely elasticity in the fabric which means it will last for a long time. THIS is the item I know my boy will love to wear a lot.

GRANDPA SHIRT - (Robert) Molo has taken the classic grandpa shirt and turned it into something very hip, with adding some cobolt blue, and some cleverly hidden neon details. Made of 100% cotton it is soft yet warm and I simply love the green neon stitches that is sewn in the bottom and across the width of the back and shoulders.

SHIRT
- With a name like Radcliff, you know you are going to get a bit of a different shirt. Running with red and blue hues it has all the makes of a classic shirt except for some very cool details such as skull buttons and yellow neon stitching/buttons. I am loving the double chest pockets, and it is great for a party where your little guy would want to wear something stylish yet fun enough to chase the boring away! I also have to mention you get a nice little bag with extra buttons in case you would loose some along the way, which is so handy!

Tomorrow I will showcase some garments from the girls range!! Think rock mixed with ballet!!
