Let's Celebrate | Happy Halloween!

Have a great, scary day out there! We don't need a reason to dress up, but today is as good day as any! My kiddos are donning some classic outfits, we have one rattling skeleton boy and one cackling witch. If you are celebrating Halloween, may you have a good one and may your trick or treat bag be full... (just don't forget to brush your teeth ;)

Moments | Baylife

M wears: Honey skirt by Stella McCartney / Cherry tee by Mini Rodini. D wears: Billy pocket LS tee by I Dig Denim / Remo pants by I Dig Denim.

There is a little playground located right by the beach in Chelsea and when the weather is nice and the winds calm it is the perfect spot to head for on the weekend. There you can let the kids free, let them run as far as the eye can see. It is nice to give them some space and see where the curiosity will take them.

Stay Young Stay Foolish

We had a lovely warm weekend. So warm that this wonderful sweat never got a chance to be put on because the winds were just perfect and not cold at all. But as it was hanging there in case the winds would change (as it only can in Melbourne) I couldn't help but snap a photo.

Some powerful words (from the mind of Steve Jobs) are the perfect reminder for us all. Printed on the softest grey, cotton sweat from Petitbo. Available in size 6Y - 16Y (and in women's XS-L)

Let's Make | Halloween DIY

Not too long to go until Oct 31st and Halloween. This is one holiday I like to celebrate with the kids and since our neighbourhood has quite a few American expats homes there is always a huge crowd of trick or treaters on Halloween evening. We try and do a few fun Halloween activities on the days leading up to Halloween so I have collected a few that we like from the excellent DIY website Mr. Printables. They all have different difficult levels so there are something for every age. Most activities have downloadable templates where you can choose to either colour in or print an already coloured version. Have fun & scary time out there!!

Close Up | Beautiful Blue

It is hard to not hug the postman when he delivers parcels like this. An orange parcel all the way from The Netherlands and Orange Mayonnaise, packed with beautiful blue items we ordered. Both my kids have a love for the colour blue (although pink and green is also high on the list) and this time around we found some cool tones to satisfy even the most picky blue lover. A bit of monochrome items also sneaked in, which you always can find a reason for.

Here is what we bought:
Super soft vintage Laureus Sweatshirt by Bobo Choses / Don't Grow Up tee by Mini & Maximus / Spiked super hero hoodie by Beau LOves / Echo Park Skirt by Bobo Choses / Long gloved Zip Hoodie by Nununu / Underwear set by Beau LOves / Honey skirt by Stella McCartney / Cat tights by Stella McCartney.

Moments | 4 Seasons

D wears: Biker Sweat by Mimobee / Dehli Denim by I Dig Denim / Shoes by Converse / Beanie by Zoo York.

If there is one thing Melbourne is good at then it must be the ever changing weather. The saying 4 seasons in one day really is true. You leave your house in shorts and tees and within 20 minutes it can be a real need for a thick sweater and jeans. These photos were taken a few weeks back when the little guy was out searching for beach treasures to bring back to kinder to show. We were going to build a trash monster, but after 30 minutes in the hard wind all we could find was a few beautiful pieces of coloured glass and sea shells, but it didn't matter, the fresh air was a reward enough.

Have a lovely weekend!

Moments | Wave n' Surf at Merewether Beach

M wears: Dress by Gap / Cardigan by H&M / Sunhat by Zara / Swimsuit by Rockefella. D wears: Top by Finger In the Nose / Soho shorts by I Dig Denim / Cap by Beau LOves / Boardies by Munsterkids.

The memories of our holidays isn't too far away. All you have to do is look through your camera and they come all back again. Here are some moments from Merewether Beach in NSW. The beach has the best atmosphere! Lots of local surfers, skaters and the best rock pools I have seen. There is also Merewether's Surf House which is a restaurant/cafe/bar right on the beach with the best views and the yummiest food. There is also nice little coffee spots, and plenty of places to sit down and take in the magnificent view.

We brought swimwear just in case, and it was a bit of an impromptu dip as the waves were high but with Newcastle's wonderful natural pools there was also some nice calm spots where the kids could explore and get wet. Definitely a spot we will come back to many times and if you are trying out surfing it is a nice spot to start out with its long arching beach and plenty of lifeguards on duty.
