ART | Munsterkids Collab

If there is a brand that some how personifies the little urban legends out there then it has to be Australian Munsterkids. When we moved Down Under it was one of the brands that quickly caught my attention and I loved their graphic styles. Since then munsterkids have added both missie (the girl line) and mini & lilmissie (for the little ones). We have numerous of munster threads in both my boys and my girls wardrobe and when I got a chance to illustrate for the label last year it was a bit of a dream come true.

Out in stores now is their SS15 (Southern hemisphere collection) and FW15 ( North hemisphere) Children of the Sea. The top images features a few of the illustrations I got to draw for this line. It was also nice to feature one of my photographs (bmx closeup) which was anything but easy to get (felt like I had to tie a knot on myself to get that nice sharp focus on the back tire :). The below image is a few of the illustrations I did for the previous summer collection. The cool little flatlay pic comes from Free and Wild Child (Which is another wonderful blog you should check out if you are interested in kids fashion.)

INTRODUCING | Activewear by Cotton On KIDS

M wears: Active Bonded Zip Thru jacket / Active Cropped Leggings / Active Tee / Hurricane Trainers.
D wears:
Boys Active Spray Jacket / Boys Active Basketball Top / Boys Active Footy Shorts / Boys Active Tech Pant / Basketball Sneakers. Also in shoot: Game On Drinkbottle and Happy Drinkbottle

Cotton on KIDS are launching their new kids activewear line today! We had the chance to try out some of the range and both D and M gave it a good test run this weekend. We loved the fact that all garments are very lightweight and easy to move around in. The breathable materials makes they perfect for any activity and thanks to their nice design there is no compromise on style either! We had an active Sunday down at the Boardwalk and enjoyed playing footy in the sand, skipping rope and even manged to squeeze in some skating and a quick session of breakdance!?

At the end of the day it was two thumbs up for the active gear. A big plus was that the clothing manged to keep the kids warm in the wind but not too hot to be active in!

Here is what Cotton on KIDS are saying about their new active line...
Perfect for any active indoor or outdoor adventure – whether it be team sports, dancing or a weekend out and about with mum and dad.  The girls active range (for ages 2 - 8) includes leggings, shorts, lightweight jackets, t-shirts, tanks, bonded-fleece jackets, trainers, hats and other accessories including socks, hairbands, runners, baseball caps and drink bottles available in various colours and sizes, designed to match back with the Active range.

It is no surprise that Cotton On KIDS has added its own personality to durable materials with pastel hues, metallic prints and sparkling elastic waists. The new dance range, also launching August 17th, includes stretchy leotards, dance wraps and skirts which are bound to be a favourite with tiny dancers.

The concept for the new category was born after Cotton On KIDS Head Buyer, Meaghan Kendall noticed the global trend of sports luxe becoming part of people’s everyday wardrobes. Whether that be track pants, trainers or just a hoodie, the range is versatile and perfect for all activities.  “We are excited to be launching our new active range; we know that our customers love the style, fit and price of our everyday apparel, and we’ve incorporated this into our range. We were inspired by what is trending globally, but we added our famous Cotton On KIDS twist to it – fun, colourful, prints, sparkle for the girls, a bit of attitude for the boys.

Cotton On KIDS Active range will launch globally on August 17th. Keep an eye out on our instagram page @minor_detales on how you can win a KID activewear pack this week!

MOMENTS | Keep Calm and Carry On

M wears: Knitted sweater by Bobo Choses / Moon longsleeve by Bobo Choses / Skirt by Mango Kids / Stockings by Bobo Choses / Boots by EMU / Pom pom beanie by Sportsgirl // D wears: Mogens Sweatshirt by molo / Reto longsleeve by molo / Arlen denim pants by molo / shoes by Converse.

It has been a few busy weeks over here and when work falls in your lap unfortunately the blog get's a bit quiet. Still the camera comes with us where ever we go so here are a few new snaps from our adventures today. We couldn't believe how calm the bay was today. Not a single breeze, just a massive mirror like ocean in front of us. The plants are slowly waking up and getting ready for Spring. The colours are coming back and so are the urge to get out and explore. The long winter has given us a few cold days, but nothing a warm knit and a beanie couldn't cope with. We are all longing for warmer days and on weekends like this you can tell it is not too far away...
