Comes the sun again. A cold Saturday started out with a lot of rain and wind, but as the afternoon came closer we decided to head out and hope for the best. We were in luck because just as we parked the car the rain stopped and the sun came out to offer us a wonderful afternoon. The thick outerwear almost came off as the sun grew stronger, and it was almost magical to watch the high tide become like a big mirror in the bay. The kids had fun wading in the shallow water and look for shrimps and sea shells while the big people warmed up with a coffee on the beach. To all of you who celebrated Mothers Day out there, I hope you had a wonderful day!

The headline pretty much sums up the week. We had one warm and rather sunny day on Monday and the rest has been a non stop rain experience.  But with the school holidays in full swing you can't do much else but to brave the bad weather and find what fun you can. So far we have hit the cinema, visit the city, had numerous cosy cafe visits with friends, created a wild amount of loom band bracelets, had a serious day of puddle jumping.. and the list goes on. Even though we have been quite wet there has also been a few beautiful moments in there, like this day when wet clothes wasn't a problem and the biggest challenge was just finding some good deep puddles to jump in. Raindrops can be pretty sweet as well. Have a wonderful weekend out there!

Rain ready with Gardner and the Gang

With winter comes rain, and lots of it here in Melbourne so this winter I thought we better be prepared in style! These classic gumboots from Swedish Gardner and the Gang has been on our radar for a long time, and this season both my girl and boy will rock a pair! I love how these are the perfect unisex choice as the little bit of pink in there will make them sweet enough for the girls to wear, but the skull is tough enough for the boys.

We also got the chance to sneak a peek at their new AW14 range which is coming out in a few months time. How cool is that raincoat!? Lots of great garments with rad prints and comfortable fabrics.
