Winter Bay Shoot Featuring Gugguu Kidswear

M wears: Pale pink Hoodie by Gugguu / Two colour Leggings by Gugguu / Shoes by Vans / Handbag by Cotton On Kids. D wears: Ice blue Hoodie by Gugguu / Baggy pants by Gugguu / Shoes by Converse

As the weather gets colder down here it is nice to get into some proper thick clothes. These amazing and colourful outfits from Finish label Gugguu was perfect for today's bay outing. We have written before about the wonderful quality of this label and done several close up articles and shoots before.

Their classic hoodie with the zip to the side is such a perfect cut. It features extra long hems on the arms and has a gorgeous thick hood that sits perfect when worn up and down. You can tell a lot of planning has gone into these garments and the cool baggy pants with extra large pockets that goes all around the side of the pants are perfect for collection treasures from the beach.  The hoodies and pants/leggings has a wonderful jersey stretch in them so they will last and are very comfortable for little running legs. Gugguu kids fashion combines simplicity, style, bravely fresh colors and small colorful details in its collection.

This season's colours are stunning. We love the pale pink and ice blue they are wearing here. They remind us of the deep, green/blue sea colour we have down here and the pink is that pale pink you see in the sky as the day turn into evening. Not sure how the designers have manged to pick two colours that are so close to our heart, but it was the perfect match for us!

BRAND WATCH | I Dig Denim AW15/16

As the colder winds have set upon us here in the Southern hemisphere there is nothing better than to have a little sneak peek on some warmer wear for the kiddos. Swedish I Dig Denim is whipping up some nice warm threads and gives us a little look at what their stylish Autumn Winter 15/16 is going to look like.

"The collection is an ode to the way-cool generation. The denim lifestyle is the central theme and it’s not about wearing jeans. It’s about how you wear your jeans. The outerwear we present for this season is a wax coated bomber jacket in moss green and a parka. The colour palette echoes the Swedish west coast landscape – shades of blue and grey, khaki and mint"

New to the season is also that they are launching a baby collection! Yes you can imagine the amazing cute overload as their cool wear hits the smaller sizes! The baby collection consists of trendy jeans, a sweatshirt pant and a t-shirt in soft and comfortable qualities. The baby collection comes in size 56-92 and will be available at their retailers and in their eShop in August.

MOMENTS | Hiking in the Ranges

D wears: Luke jacket by I Dig Denim / Wolf hoodie by Petitbo / Arizona blue jeans by I Dig Denim / Shoes by Converse. M wears: Merino wool longsleeve by Smalls / Quilted denim jacket by molo / Jeans by Seed / Boots by Cotton on Kids.

Long weekend and finally a chance to slow down. An extra day off can feel amazing sometimes, and we wanted to make sure we got out in nature one of the days with the kids. Friends had told us about the lovely Piggery café up in the Dandenong ranges so after breakfast we decided it was time for a little visit up there. After an 40 min drive we finally drove into the lovely ranges and was greeted with some amazing scenery with tall trees and lush ferns.

As soon as we got out of the car we realized it was a lot colder up here!  We were happy we had packed some nice warm jackets and made sure to put the kids in a nice layer of merino wool tops to keep their warmth. We quickly headed for the cafe put was met by a long cue (apparently we were not the only ones who had the good idea of visiting). Instead of waiting, we decided to go for a walk in the nearby forrest, hopefully the hectic lunch demand had settled down by the time we got back. We always love coming up here and fill our lungs with some fresh air. You can really feel the difference up here. The kids always try and find the tallest tree and you feel wonderfully small when you walk here. After a good hour of walking our tummies were hungry so we headed back to the Piggery cafe. The cue had gotten a bit smaller so we decided it was worth jumping in. The kids had fun at a nearby playground so it made the waiting a lot easier.

We finally got inside and it was so nice to sit down in the warmth of the cafe and get to order some delicious food. The cafe has a lovely ambiance and the rustic charm seem to rub off on everybody's mood here. We can definitely recommend this place, but make sure you either book a table beforehand or go on a weekday when it's not so busy. Make sure you don't leave without buying a loaf of bread from the Beeches bakery, absolutely delicious! We hope you are enjoying the long weekend out there!
