It is has a thick inner lining for the coldest day but still not too thick to wear on a Spring day. It has a luxurious feel to it and the deep blue tone is just perfection. 

Teamed up with a classic white Brandon tee and a pair of Dehli denim from their previous collections makes it a comfy but stylish day to day outfit! And hey, Ladies, the jacket also comes in adult sizes so for once the jealousy on the mini wardrobe stops right here.

One of our favourite shoe labels 10 IS has just released their new Fall / Winter 14 collection - "Memories Of A Winter Cocoon" Here is what they have to say about their latest creations.

"For this winter cocoon, 10 IS offers a timeless and refined collection with a special attention paid to colors and details. Blue velvet and red leather, materials and colors combinations are soft but also pronounced. Natural oily leathers have been carefully selected for their particular patina that will add character to a casual silhouette.

« Feather » printed hair leather or « black golden leopardino », exotic themes are also declined with fineness. The metal theme was also reworked and enriched. Wine, deep blue and piombo marbled leather come to join the silver and copper tones.

NEWS | Mini Rodini - Quel Carousel Drop II

It's been a busy few days lately with photography work so there haven't been much time to update the blog, but how could I forget about Mini Rodini's second Drop?! Close Up | Bobo Choses - A Day in LA

It was a happy mail day today, and our first purchases of the newly released Bobo Choses collection A Day in LA arrived. There is something so wonderfully vintage with all these garments that it is instant love. It is like they have already been worn and loved to the point where it is soft and just perfect to wear.

Both the kids and myself love the prints and there is never any arguments on who gets what because the unisex approach of the prints and colours makes it easy to pass down to the little brother, so we get a lot of wear out of our BC clothes. Here are the links to a couple of our favourites.

Fashion | Bobo has landed!

Bobo Choses latest collection 'A Day in LA' has finally landed in stores and as usual the Bobo craze has hit again. The packing of orders are going wild in the virtual stores and the soft threads with Californian inspired prints are selling like hotcakes in the sun. I have to admit this collection has fallen right on my taste buds. The last few collections has had to grow on me but this one have been an instant love affair since I have adored the classic winds of Disney mixed with Hollywood history and a bit of Basquiat as well!

Everybody is longing for Spring and warmer weather now. It is so strange, just how big this country is, while we are having colder temperatures down in the South, people are swimming and laying on the beach in the Northern parts. August always feel like the last stretch of winter and sometimes it feels like the warmer weather will just never come back. We long to put away the jackets and thick sweaters and just run around in shorts, skirts and tees. When we are having 4 seasons in a day which is very common here in Victoria, it is good to come prepared. Danish label molo's brand new autumn/winter collection is the perfect choice right now and today we gave a few of the garments a good test.

Denim and thicker panel sweats is enough to keep you warm (if you run a bit which our kids always seem to do) and we have fallen head over heels with this collection. The Aksel denim pants D is wearing are so cool. Made from soft denim it has a great fit and some very neat details like different big, back pockets you can stick you hand in (the wash is just perfect as well). The Mitchell panel sweat is something I wish I could get in my own size! Love the stitching and the nice corduroy shoulders and the forest green has that lovely autumn/winter feel to it. It also has thumb holes for extra warmth over the hands. 

M was wearing the lovely Cameron, denim dress which has such a nice shape to it because of the thickness of the denim. The nice copper zipper along the back gives it a nice touch, and it was nice and roomy to play in. We teamed up the dress with the fun flower bug leggings.  D is wearing a size 116 (which is a perfect fit for this 5 year old) and M (almost 8) is wearing 140 (which is a bit big still but since the styles gives room for some growth it will be something she can wear for a while).

Hard to miss a little report on the upcoming collection from lovely Bobo Choses - A Day in L.A. Having spent time in L.A. it felt a bit extra special to hear its a collection dedicated to the magic of the city of angels, sprinkled with a bit of Hollywood on top.

Brand Watch | I Dig Denim AW14 ' The Denim Ocean'

Our favourite Scandinavian denim brand I Dig Denim is back with another season of denim treasures!

I Dig Denim's Autumn/Winter collection 2014/2015 is a tribute to the cool factor of denim. Inspiration is drawn from the fabric itself, and how it can be mixed and matched to create contemporary yet timeless looks. In this collection they have opted for a downright relaxed look, pairing denim with sweaters, jackets and beanies. They have kept their popular jeans fits from previous collections, but this season they come in a wider range of colours, as well as tops without prints and knits.

It is no secret that we love this brand and have featured it a lot. It is hands down my kids favourite denim and with their soft take on denim it is not hard to see why.

Brand Watch | Tiny Whales AW14

More radness coming your way in the form of Tiny Whales AW 14 collection! The US label has created some new cool prints for the mini's that they will absolutely adore (and parents alike). The new collection is full of great unisex prints so its easy to pass them along among siblings. We are loving the fun slogan tees (how cute is Donut Worry Be Happy) The tees are made in 100% cotton jersey and printed and designed in the USA.

Husband and wife team of Shaun & Brittany Wagoner started the label back in 2008 and has had a steady stream of cool collection coming ever since.

Brand Watch | MOLO AW14

This weekend Playtime Paris kicks off with a couple of days of showing the latest and greatest in kids fashion. I thought we would start off with some nice sneak peeks of the upcoming AW14 collections out there. Danish molo, always comes out with nice collections and this AW14 is again another home run full of crisp, strong colour choices and bold prints.

molo's autumn collection clearly reflects a new way of interpreting an urban look, where structure and texture are experimented with in fabrics, design, colour stories and prints. Raw denim, flannel, chunky knit and quilted sweats are the results of experimentation in the boys collection.

In the girls collection, this new interpretation appears in crewneck sweatshirts, graphic lines in jersey and on jeans, animal prints 'in every way' as well as metallic effects on fabrics, zippers, prints or thread colours. 

The new AW14 collection will be in stores shortly and you can already preview some looks on their great website below. I will also share some of their great outfit ideas during this month, so stay tuned for more molo goodness.

Sneak Peek | Mini Rodini AW14 "Quel Carrousel"

It's always fun when Swedish label Mini Rodini drops their first sneak peek at their upcoming collections, and here are the first images of their AW14 collection, entitled - Quel Carrousel.

 It is inspired by the life and people behind the circus. Clothes comfortable enough to wear when traveling with the caravan from town to town in the early light of dusk. Durable enough for any little aspiring acrobat when hanging upside down in roman rings facing challenging situations. Stylish enough for young mice trainers when performing in the ring accompanied by the circus orchestra.
With a large number of sustainable and pieces made from GOTS and Fairtrade certified cotton, this is a collection suited for sparkling activities, a lot of fun and well worthy a place in the spotlight both in front of and behind the curtains.

New In | Danube by Tip Toey Joey

Super soft suede, a triple S combo that makes for some seriously comfortable shoes from Tip Toey Joey. Another pair of an all around shoe from their Junior range that is a perfect combination of trainers meet style. The shoe named Danube is from their current AW14 range and is now available at their retailers.

I like these sort of shoes that seem to be the perfect all around shoe and works as well on a skateboard as on a hike in nature. You can see some photos of them in action over here.

They feature some nice details like sturdy laces, but for quick get-aways you can just simply use the side zip. It also has extra padding around the ankles and another layer of leather for the front part of the shoe for extra longevity. The shoes comes in 100% upper and inner leather and has a very nice flexible sole.
