Moments | Let's Draw

The weather have been totally spoiling us of late and we have taken every opportunity to really enjoy it. We soak up all the rays and tell ourselves to remember these days when the cold rain is hitting us hard in the winter. Today after school pick up we sat outside, had icy poles and got into some drawing and doodling. It is amazing how much a 5 year old can talk while drawing. If I ask her how her day was in school normally I get a short but sweet, fine! But if you put a pen in her hand she basically can tell me her whole day, bit by bit. I love it! We had a great old time in the sun and here's to hoping it will be an equally nice and sunny day tomorrow!!

Paus fågel = Pause Bird?

Gosh sometimes my brain just ends up in one big knot. After speaking English for so many years now, one thing I still think in Swedish is different sayings. Like there is a saying in Swedish that you have a fox behind your ear, meaning you are a bit sly and cheeky. Now these keep popping up in my head all the time and I have the most difficult time trying to explain them to English speaking people. Well while waiting for my girl to come out of school yesterday I was doodling to pass time and I instantly thought it looked like a paus fågel... a little thing you put in between to pass time.. well in English it becomes paus bird.. which makes no sense at all! I looked like a fool trying to explain it to another waiting mum.. Oh well I guess that part of my brain will always stay Swedish :)

eBBe | Brand Watch

If you haven't heard of Swedish label eBBe before, you should definitely have a look! We bought a couple of eBBe items over at Oii a while back and we have loved the great basic wears with nice details. Best thing about them is that they seem to last forever and they didn't cost too much either. Right now Lilla Company are trying out eBBe and are stocking up on their latest range. Go and have a look and see if you like their new dots n' stripe collection... we do!

A Girls World

I got my bouncing girl back. She is still a bit careful with her left arm, but it is amazing just how quick little people heal. Ever since she was a baby she has been 100% full of energy. I remember when she was a baby she would love nothing better than if I placed her on the bed and pushed down on the bed so she would bounce up and down...she would giggle so much and it would be the most contagious laughter that I almost couldn't stop myself. But with that said, she has also been a quite careful girl. She doesn't take any unnecessary chances (like I did). She loves her girly stuff, and one of her favorite toys are her Pegasus horse with a shining star. Rainbows, hearts and unicorns are the cornerstones of her world right now... and I love just how different she is to me in that aspect. I climbed trees, skateboarded and tried to break all sorts of stupid records. I wonder if growing up with a big brother instead of a little brother has something to do with that? Well while pondering that I think it is time to deal with today's to do list. Enjoy your Tuesday out there...
