Yesterday a beautiful, little parcel arrived from Born2BSeen. In it were the softest pants, beanie and sweater from Just Bo. Simplicity has never looked as beautiful as this. Butter soft, warm grey baggy pants that pretty much goes with everything in the little wardrobe, and the sweater! Raw hems and the perfect thickness, Not too thick to not go under a jacket and not too thin to not protect from some cold winds. The casual beanie is also perfect for any outfit so these 3 items will be perfect for my little man this Spring/Summer.

After being in the middle of cold rain storms lately it was a welcome break from the bad weather this weekend. On Saturday we finally got a good day with sun and warm weather so we went to our favourite beach hang out for a play and lunch. It was if everybody felt the same way and it was so good to feel the sun warm your skin up. We munched on fresh fish and chips from the beach restaurant and got a few hours in the sand. Some brave beach goes went in the water but it is still a bit too cold to really enjoy the waves.

The kids were happy dipping their legs and building sandcastles instead. It has been such an odd Spring with cold one day and warm the next. You truly don't have a clue where the day will go. Think we are all wishing for more stability in the weather soon and more days like this were it feels like you have recharged properly for a new week. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend too and are ready for a new week.

One of the best things about online shopping, is getting pleasantly surprised when the clothing arrives. Although with that said, I also wish there would be more focus on showing the details of garments, because lets face it, if it is cleverly designed like Finnish label GUGGUU is, I would buy it just for that.

We recently got to try out a set of clothes from their latest range and I wanted to show you just what is so good about this label. The striking zippers of their hoodies makes an otherwise common garment look quite fresh and different. I also like the fact they have chosen to make it a biker jacket style with putting it to the side instead of just straight down. Another great feature is their 2 buttons in the neck area, so you can make the neck snug and warm and it also makes the hood stay on even on a windy day.

The inside of the hoodies are made from soft fleece so they are comfy to wear even with just a tee under, and the one feature that my kids would say is the best thing? The pockets of course! On both their hoodies and pants they have some great, big pockets that go from the front all the way around to the back. A perfect storage place for anything you find exploring, or just a portable toy stash (like my boy has discovered). I also like the fact that most of the garments have a nice stretch in them, so they are easy to put on and take off. And if I should continue my rant on what is great about these clothes, I have to mention their long hems in both arms and legs. This feature makes it possible for longer use of the clothes. Simply fold up if too long or fold down for an extra year or so of wear.

Some photos from the weekend that passed. We found a great new playground in Chelsea and it only took the kids about 5 seconds to spot the cool, long slides they had. They had some great equipment to play on and plenty of shade as well. It was an unusual hot day so the shady areas came in handy after a lot of running up the big slide hill. There were some nice, sculpted benches for the parents to relax on and even a exercise area for the ones that had some energy to burn. M got to try out her new Molo dress (which I am totally in love with!) which has the cutest little illustrations all over it. It got such a nice colour combinations and the neon hems ties the whole dress together perfectly. I wish the print would come as a big poster (hint hint, Molo).

The kids ran around on all the slides, climbing areas and visited the cute little smurf village and managed to squeeze in some monkey bar action as well. After all that playing we were all starving and thirsty so we ended the day off with driving down to the bay in Beaumaris and had a late lunch and ice cream dessert on the beach. A pretty perfect Saturday I have to say!
