Moments | Here Comes the Heat

D wears: Donut Worry tee by Tiny Whales / Shorts by Mini & Maximus / Camo cap by Tiny Whales / Shoes by Natives. M wears: Bianca top by Petitbo / Roma skirt by Popupshop / Shoes by Garvalin.

The heat came out in big style this weekend. As the temperature kept rising the clothes kept on coming off. By lunchtime it was already 33c and the only place to escape to was the cosy nook of Half Moon Bay where there was a nice breeze and plenty to look at. We munched on seafood and finished off with icy poles and a look at the surf.

It is funny how it can suddenly feel like the middle of summer only to go down to 16c the next day, but we have learned to embrace the warmth when it arrives and as usual, the kids ended up in the water even though we forgot to bring bathers! We had two very wet kiddos in tow on our way home, but very happy!!

Moments | Life on Wheels

M wears: Ice cream tee by Finger In The Nose / Bunny skirt by Finger In The Nose / Ballet flats by Cotton on Kids. D wears: Tee by Itch / Pants by Minti / Shoes by Converse.

Wheels, helmets and a day of fun is secured.. Scooters are a great alternative to bikes and makes it still possible for us parents to keep up on foot. It also gives you plenty of chance to stop and admire the view and take in the fresh air while at it. We got two wheel lovers and when D finally could switch from his 3 wheeler to a 2 wheeler its been easy to zip to skate parks and for longer trips as well. Here are a few snaps from a weekend on wheels!

Moments | Botanical Walk

D wears: Darri Bear top by Ígló & Indí / Arizona Blue jeans by I Dig Denim / Shoes by 10 IS.
M wears: Fanney Bunny hat top by Ígló & Indí / Skirt by Country Road / Shoes by Cotton on Kids / Sunnies by Cotton on Kids.

Some snapshots from a day outside in the Botanical Garden located in the heart of Melbourne city. We escape here when the chaos get too much and its time to appreciate the fine details of nature. It is such a nice place to visit and a must if you are visiting Melbourne. Both adults and kids will enjoy it and there is plenty to take in and enjoy, including fine food and drinks. A new restaurant/cafe has opened called Jardin Tan which has two venues. One that serves coffee and the traditional food on the go and one restaurant which explores the dynamic flavours of French-Indochina in a warm and welcoming space. If your kids are a bit adventurous in the food department let them try some new flavours like the delicious Vietnamese Pho soup.

There is nothing better than walking off the food in the shade of the amazing plants and trees here. Lots of little paths to explore and it is an absolute pleasure to stop and just take in the wonderful details of everything living here. If you are lucky you can also catch some big fruit bats flying between the high trees or check out the eels swiming in the several little ponds. It is definitely a favourite spot of ours, and I bet we will be back here again soon.

Let's Play | Fourmonkeys

My inner child comes out and wants to play when I see a good toy selection. I am a big fan of wooden toys and great shapes and online shop Fourmonkeys have heaps of them. Toys for all ages and the design lover in you will also be satisfied. Find great labels like Areaware, NAEF, Oeuf NYC, Tattly, Kiko+ and more.

If you are an early Christmas shopper head on over and find some great stocking finds I doubt these will stay in stock for long so sooner is better than later!

Have fun!

Moments | Hot n' Cold

D wears: Sleeveless hoodie by LOUD Apparel / Longsleeve by Booso / Jeans by Scotch Shrunk / Shoes by Converse / Sunnies by Fred Bare.

Melbourne has had some strange weather lately. With sudden warm winds coming in from the dessert in the middle of Australia one day and colder winds blowing in from the Antarctic the next, means that we had 32C one day and 15C the next! The only way to be sure not to be too cold or too hot is throw on a sleeveless hoodie! We have always loved them and they are perfect here! If the sun comes out they are still not too hot to be wearing. All of our sleeveless hoodies have been from Minti but this time around we tested a nice statement one from Loud Apparel which we really liked! Great fit and fun text. I am guessing we will get a lot of wear out of this one because the weather forecast is promising more of the same bipolar weather!
